Grit Coffee - Downtown

Really love this coffee place, but they have not cleared the snow from their two parking spots out front. Given the state of street parking, I do not recommend a quick pick up here until after the snow removal has been completed. I hope they post an update when that has happened, because it is super hard right now to find parking downtown due to all of the snow.

The brown curly haired barista is very rude and condescending. I’ve gone in twice and she’s always cutting me off , asking me if I really want to order something , give me nasty looks and both times has got my order wrong . I’m genuinely never going to this location , such bad customer service .

I drink tea and their iced green tea is my beverage of choice; my fam drinks a variety of coffee and Grit is their go to place. This one has two convenient parking spots to boot.

I cannot speak for the food, but the coffee is some of the best I’ve had in America. My husband ordered a macchiato and I grabbed a vanilla iced coffee - two things that can be easily messed up. The iced coffee was perfection. The vanilla tasted real, was not overly sweet, and complemented the coffee perfectly. The coffee wasn’t overly acidic and had been brewed well - it wasn’t burnt tasting like many local roasters. The vibes were chill, there’s a ton of space to hang around, and the staff were delightful!

Great location and great vibes. I love the seating right by the window where you can see out. The coffee was great and they had plenty of options to choose from. I had the lavender lemonade cold brew which was the perfect coffee/lemonade balance. Delicious and refreshing on a hot day. I would definitely stop in again if I am in the area.
