Crema's Take

Tucked into a charmingly unconventional garage-style building, this Wilmette spot weaves vintage motorcycle aesthetics and playful decor throughout its interior, creating an unexpectedly cool gathering space that feels both laid-back and thoughtfully designed. Beyond the Instagram-worthy atmosphere, they're genuinely committed to their craft—pulling excellent espresso drinks and cold brew while offering light food options that pair well with quality coffee, all backed by consistently warm hospitality from owners and baristas who clearly care about making your visit memorable. Whether you're stopping by solo to linger over a specialty drink, bringing little ones (who'll delight in the ride-on toys and play area), or meeting friends for a leisurely sit, this is the kind of neighborhood gem that rewards you for discovering it.

Nothing exceptional about this cafe---just unusually expensive for two small drinks....my mom ordered a small cappuccino with almond milk and she said she enjoyed it, while I ordered a dark roast black coffee and I found it tasteless--lacking flavor. Overall, it is a decent place, and people come and go.

Google coffee place and found this. I passed by this place before but did not realized it’s a cafe. The building looks just like a car garage. Coffee is good, egg cheese bagel is good. Weather is nice so we sit outside and it super relaxing. I will definitely come back here again.

Really cool place with great food and drinks. We stopped in to check it out and the interior decor is so cool with vintage motorcycles and other motorcycle themed apparel. We had a great iced latte coffee as well as strawberry boba tea and mango bulb tea. We love their lavender as well as hibiscus tea. We definitely will be back. Plenty of parking right out in front and easy to get here right off Oakton avenue.

An absolute gem if you’ve got little kids in tow. The coffee was excellent, and there were ride-on toys, ramps, and play cars to keep my son happy while I relaxed. Such a thoughtful and fun setup. Wish my home town had a place like this!

Grind N Gears is a fantastic coffee shop with a unique and welcoming atmosphere. I had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners, Dan, and the barista, Levi—both were incredibly kind and made the experience even better. Levi was especially great, making sure our drinks were just right and engaging in friendly conversation that added a personal touch to the visit. We tried a white mocha and a sugar-free vanilla latte, both of which were well-made and delicious. I also appreciated that Levi checked if we wanted more sweetness, ensuring our drinks were exactly how we liked them. The shop itself has an awesome vibe, with its bike-themed decor and thoughtfully curated merchandise. The entire space feels cohesive and inviting. I’ll definitely be back in the summer to enjoy more great coffee and the welcoming atmosphere!
