Crema's Take

This Vietnamese family-run gem in Tacoma's Lincoln International District serves some of the most authentic banh mi you'll find outside of Vietnam, with perfectly toasted bread that's simultaneously crunchy and soft, alongside equally stellar hủ tiếu and bò kho. The warm, inviting atmosphere transports you straight to Hanoi, making it the ideal spot for a leisurely morning coffee with traditional Vietnamese preparations or a lingering lunch with friends and family. It's the kind of neighborhood treasure that opens early for genuine Vietnamese coffee devotees and locals who keep coming back for the soul-satisfying broth and meticulous attention to ingredient quality.

One of the best banh mis I have had in a long time. The bread was perfectly toasted. Soft in the inside and crunchy on the outside. They gave a good amount of meat and veggies in the sandwich. And the Vietnamese coffee… perfect. Very delicious authentic Vietnamese food. I definitely am coming back. They even provided some iced jasmine green tea while we sat, we didn’t even ask for it. The tea was delicious too.

Officially found my favorite spot for hủ tiếu! The broth was very flavorful and just what you need on a cold rainy day. I’ve also tried their bò kho and banh mi and those were also great. Service was quick and loved that they serve hot tea if you’re dining in. Space is small, but feels like you’re going over to your aunts house for a meal.

If you are looking for good authentic Vietnamese food this is the place! They open super early and you can get your Vietnamese coffee there too!! I needed to find a place to eat before my 10 am dentist appt and called this place to make sure they were opened and the man answered the phone saying he opens “6 am to 6 pm every day.”!!! I walked into there and there’s options for indoor or outdoor seating. Their menu seems to be limited but it’s all the food you wouldn’t normally find at allot of other Vietnamese restaurant. I ordered the bun bo hue and chao long (no pic because I ate it all). Their bun no hue was very flavorful and had everything you would expect a real bowl of it would have. So good! I need to go back and try other things on their menu!

This is a little gem in the Lincoln International District. I come here often because they make the best Vietnamese sandwiches I've ever had!! Here, they toast their bread, and ingredients are always fresh. Their other dishes are also delicious 😋. When dining in, tea is complementary with your meal. *Keep in mind, this is a café out of someone's house. Because of this, parking can be limited, but you can always park a little whiles away. Coffee made here are going to be in Southeast Asian style, so they use evaporated milk as their dairy/sweetener.*
