“Cartel's philosophy of stripping coffee down to simplicity and quality has made them a rare survivor in Phoenix's oversaturated cafe scene, and this location proves why with genuinely excellent espresso and latte art that justifies the hype. The converted house aesthetic floods with natural light and bristles with outlets, making it dangerously easy to camp out for hours, and the staff (Greg especially) actually seem happy to have you there. If you want to spend an afternoon working or meeting friends over legitimately good coffee without pretension or gimmicks, this is exactly where you should go.”
What to expect
Espresso-focused, with a pour-over program. A slow-sit, laptop-friendly spot, good for meetings. Wifi.
