Java On Fourth

Crema's Take
“Tucked in Ketchum's mountain town vibe, Java On Fourth strikes that sweet spot between a quick caffeine pit stop and a lingering third-place—locals and visitors alike camp out with laptops or linger over their drinks in a space that clearly draws the community in. Their specialty drinks lean creative and thoughtful, from their beloved iced Thai coffee made with sweetened condensed milk to carefully crafted oat milk cappuccinos, all backed up by a solid pastry program including gluten-free options. That said, service can be inconsistent (orders get mixed up, timing varies), so it's worth going in with patience if you're catching them on a busy day—the coffee itself earns the loyalty.”

Not one to leave reviews… but the staff is not the friendliest. I placed an order online for a few drinks. Got one drink and then waited 20 minutes for my other drinks. It wasn’t until I asked the cashier about my other drinks. She proceeded to tell me you only ordered one and I showed her my online receipt that clearly stated 3 drinks. And she seemed bothered.
This place is obviously popular with a wealthier crowd. The coffee was good, but the food was disappointing. They didn’t get a single name right on the coffee or food orders, and one of our meals was made incorrectly. When someone in our group went to ask about fixing it, they actually ended up walking into the kitchen themselves to get it adjusted, which felt awkward and unprofessional. It’s a cute space for coffee and conversation, but there isn’t much room inside or outside, especially for a larger group. Overall, it’s fine for a quick coffee stop, but the food and organization could use improvement.
Hi there, I grew up in Boise and have always been a loyal supporter of Java. Since moving to Ketchum about nine years ago, I’ve continued to visit your location here, but I wanted to share some constructive feedback based on my recent experiences. Each time I’ve visited the Ketchum location, it has taken over 20 minutes to receive my drink, even when the shop wasn’t busy. This morning was a similar experience — the person who took my order didn’t seem familiar with a Bowl of Soul, and the interaction felt a bit rushed and unfriendly. I also noticed that several customers who ordered after me received their drinks first. It seemed that some of the staff behind the counter weren’t staying engaged with drink preparation or customer service, even though there were orders waiting to be filled. I left a tip and paid nearly $7 for my coffee, so I just wanted to offer this feedback in hopes that it helps improve the overall service and consistency that Java is known for. Thank you for taking the time to read this — I truly appreciate the brand and hope to see the Ketchum location shine as much as the Boise stores do.
Delicious iced Thai coffee (latte with a bit of sweetened condensed milk). So good I came back the next day and had the same thing. Great atmosphere and very fast service!
I went here twice while visiting Sun Valley and was not disappointed! Good coffee, especially oat milk cappuccinos and great pastries, including gluten free items from Three Peas GF bakery. The holiday muffin was cranberry orange and so freaking delicious. I also had the breakfast sandwich on a nice buttery croissant that was pretty good!
