Deseo Coffee Shack
2330 E McDowell Rd, Phoenix, AZ
Crema's Take
“This charming, Latina-owned coffee shack punches way above its weight with an espresso program and creative specialty drinks like the tres leches latte that'll make you rethink what coffee can be. The tiny indoor space opens onto a relaxed outdoor seating area where regulars keep coming back for the matcha lattes, breakfast sandwiches, and the genuinely cool baristas who actually listen when you need a recommendation. It's the kind of place where the vibe feels like hanging out with friends rather than just grabbing caffeine—cozy, welcoming, and distinctly Phoenix.”

It’s tiny but mighty! Great coffee and beverages and good food. Small indoor space but the outside has more tables to have some room to enjoy your meal/coffee. There is no view as you are looking at a parking lot, so go for the nice people and the food/drink. Prices were ok. VictorB
I loved this place. It’s cute, has great spots to sit and chat with my friends, and the service is excellent. The vibe and atmosphere are a solid 10/10. I also like that they have a big variety on the menu. I ordered a hot cocoa and a lemon bar, and they were both delicious.
I always enjoy coming here. The matcha and breakfast sandwich always hit the spot. The baristas are super cool and helpful when you need a drink suggestion. Kaylen was really nice and helpful and always creates a good playlist for the coffee shop.
Deseo A Coffee Shack has a cozy atmosphere and friendly staff, making it a nice place to sit and enjoy a coffee. I ordered the tres leches latte, which had a good flavor and was nicely presented. However, the price was quite high for the size and what was offered, I payed $8.25 for a small size! which took away a bit from the overall experience. While the coffee itself was enjoyable, the cost makes it hard to choose as a regular stop.
I recently visited Deseo A Coffee shack, a charming, Latina-owned coffee shop, and I have to say, it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. I'm always looking to support local, women-owned businesses, and this spot did not disappoint. The owners, incredibly friendly sisters, have created such a warm and inviting atmosphere that you feel right at home the moment you walk in. The decor is cozy and vibrant, a true reflection of the sisters' heritage and personal touch. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee is delightful, and the background music creates a relaxing, yet lively, environment. I ordered their signature chocolate abuelita latte, and it was exceptional—rich, creamy, and perfectly spiced. My grandparentsfrom Mexico came with me and ordered café con leche, some pastries, and couldn't stop raving about both. What really made the experience special was the genuine hospitality. The sisters were behind the counter, greeting customers with big smiles and happy to share the story of their shop. You can tell they put a lot of love and effort into everything, from the high-quality ingredients to the cheerful service. Their passion is contagious! This coffee shop is more than just a place to grab a drink; it's a community hub built with heart. It’s the perfect spot to relax, work, or catch up with friends. I highly recommend checking it out if you're in the area. Support these lovely sisters and treat yourself to some amazing coffee and pastries! I know I will!
