Crema's Take

Klas La brings authentic Haitian cuisine to Tampa with standout dishes like djon djon rice, perfectly crispy poul fried chicken, and fiery house-made pikliz that reviewers rave about. While pricing can catch you off guard, the genuine quality of their catering and the warm service from owner Pierre has earned loyal praise from folks who know Haitian food well. It's the kind of neighborhood spot where the food tastes like home and the family-friendly vibe makes you want to stay a while.

I paid 10$ just for djon djon rice and started to cancel my order of the rice, souspa and plantains for 22$, But I supported them. Its was a 10$ for chicken special meal ALL DAY but I was charged 22$ with no meat so I felt bad about it. When I asked him to add chicken to my order and make it a meal he looked confused. Nobody really speaks english so they can’t take my order nor my money unless certain people are working. Customer service is kind of poor. They don’t understand the meaning of “steaming hot” for my food temperature. Surprisingly the djon djon was bussing. The red sauce is very good with just enough spice. The picklese is perfect with right amount of spice. The souspa is too thick for my liking but not the worst i’ve had and not horrible. I was told spice is not authentically haitian as hatians don’t traditionally eat spicy but I appreciate this recipe. I only eat at kreyole delight haitian restaurant when I want Haitian food as everybody else is a disappointment and with a health condition you don’t want people who are careless preparing your food. Im still not sure who is preparing my meal here and am skeptical about trying other things but I will come back and give them a chance and definitely recommend for the food. UPDATE: tried to fried chicken but I feel like the stewed was what I wanted as this is no good for me. Tasted old Update: tasted stewed and tasted older. I think they are using the same chicken from yesterday and day before. People can get sick. Beware!

I’ve tried almost every Haitian restaurant in Tampa and this is by far my favorite! Being from Broward County, where there are awesome Haitian spots on almost every corner, it was such a relief to finally find a spot I can come to regularly. And the food is consistently good! On top of that they give you a large portion, which is so important because I want my moneys worth! Lol try the djon djon rice. Best Haitian food in town.

I had my event catered by Klas La Restaurant and the food was truly a 10/10! From the rice to the mac & cheese, the pikliz, and the turkey everything was absolutely delicious. Every single one of my guests loved the food. Thank you so much, Klas la, for making my event so special. I will definitely recommend you and will be booking more catering in the future!

We recently ordered catering from Klas LA for my baby shower, and I couldn’t have been happier with the entire experience! I called two weeks in advance to place the order and spoke with Pierre, who provided absolutely outstanding service from start to finish. Pierre was on time, professional, and communicated with us throughout the day to confirm his arrival. What really impressed me was that he showed up alone and still managed to set everything up beautifully by himself — truly above and beyond! The food was amazing — full of flavor, fresh, and perfectly prepared. Everyone at the baby shower loved it (definitely Haitian approved!). If you’re looking for reliable, professional, and delicious catering, I highly recommend Klas LA. They handled everything with such class and professionalism, and made our special day even better 🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹

First time eating from here and it’s really good. I love the pikliz was spicy and amazing. I loved how well the black rice was made even when mixed with the sauce. The poul fried chicken was fried crispy to perfection. I don’t know about you but I enjoyed this meal. I also had some oxtail which was well seasoned and tender. Again the sauce was amazing with the rice. But y’all really need to fix the sign. It was very hard to locate. Honestly I’ll be back.
