Spring Garden Bakery & Cafe

Crema's Take
“This locally owned gem in Greensboro wins over regulars with fresh-made food prepared to order and rotating daily specials that keep folks coming back on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The warm couple running the place creates a genuinely welcoming spot where you can linger over coffee and pastries or grab a quick bite, and families especially appreciate the homestyle comfort food and accommodating staff who treat each order with care.”

This is one of my favorite coffee shops in Greensboro, and I enjoy it more for regular occasions. They have good specials on Tuesday and Thursdays. The coffee is pretty good, the folks serving are really nice, the folks in the shop tend to be nice for the most part, and the brownies are excellent! Sometimes you will run into the issue of it being too full, but that's usually a sign they're doing something right!
Locally owned by a sweet couple. Call ahead to check on the specials because they change daily, but everything I have tried is made fresh when you order. Had a delicious homestyle taco salad with in-store fresh shell. Delicious! (Photo does not do this justice. There were all kinds of fresh ingredients underneath, including a nicely seasoned rice, beans, etc.)
This is a far cry from the original Spring Garden Bakery and cafe. Very little choices of both ☕ coffee and 🥐pastries, no vegan options, and a limited menu. However, if you are interested in a 🥪 sandwich, 🍔 burger, or 🍟 fries, they do this really well. They also have 🥗 salads. They also have limited indoor seating and a patio that needs some TLC.
We got a burger, grilled chicken salad, and a grilled cheese sandwich for our toddler. Everything was fresh and good. The sweet tea was more like half and half.
Found this gem when dropping off rentals at nearby Party Reflections and can see why the nearby working crowd loves it for lunch. The woman at the counter didn't mind accommodating my request for the veggie wrap on honey wheat rather than spinach wrap and even offered to customize the cheese selection without me asking. She also had no problem with my dining partner requesting one hot dog rather than the menu portion of two. I ordered fries and he got potato wedges... Go with the wedges, they were superb. 😋 These folks have pride in their business and service and it shows!
