Crema's Take

Chicory Cafe brings genuine New Orleans warmth to Mishawaka with house-made beignets that locals rave about and a dark roast that hits the mark, all served in a cozy space that feels like visiting a friend's kitchen. The kitchen takes care with fresh, flavorful cooking—from creative Italian sodas to full breakfast spreads—and the staff's genuine kindness means you'll actually want to linger over your coffee instead of rushing out.

I went for the fish fry and I have ate here before and it was good so I thought I'd try it. Fish wasn't that good it was a two. The battery was bland and fish was dry. Got the avocado toast because last time I tried it it was delicious. Well it was bland and not tasty like before. The shrimp were good and gumbo was good but def lacking meat today. I didn't know why but today wasn't like the first visit we had here. Is def come back in hopes of catching them on a better day service was good atmosphere was good

Chicory Cafe has such a cozy, fun, and welcoming vibe. The food and coffee are always fresh and flavorful, and the beignets are a must-try. Portions are generous, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is lively without feeling overwhelming. Definitely a cafe I look forward to continue visiting.

First visit after a friend recommended the place. The dark roast coffee was excellent. I wanted the Muffaleta but the employee said they were currently out of the bread. She immediately suggested alternate bread so I could still have the sandwich. The olive spread was excellent, and added plenty of flavor to the sandwich. The jambalaya was also flavorful. Could have been hotter, and the rice was a bit overcooked but still very good. The cornbread was slightly sweet and had a great texture. Left both full and happy. Would definitely recommend this place.

Got the half order of biscuits and gravy and a Melon Julip Italian Soda w/ cream. The cashier was very polite and kind. The server who brought out my order was equally polite and kind, served with a smile. I dont have the biggest tolerance for spicy foods, so to me the biscuits and gravy had quite a kick, but wasnt overpowering and still had great taste. Lobby area is very clean and well kept! Tables cleaned promptly during my visit.

While visiting Indiana I got a coupon on Facebook BOGO so I thought I'd try the place, the sandwich was delicious! The young lady at the counter what is very helpful since we had never been in there before she helped us order a combo meal. I would definitely return, the sandwich was very very good the guacamole on it was ripe, plenty of bacon and meat!
