Great new spot at Old Five Points! Food and vibe are great. Counter service. Employees are kind and helpful. They are willing and able to accommodate gluten free.
Incredibly flavorful, strong portions, and kind staff, 5⭐️ out of five stars! Ordered online and they were ready on time. While the burritos are a bit expensive, this was my first experience at Hatch and they were delicious. We got the Steak Lunch Burrito and 2x Adovada con Papas Burritos… they were both delicious! Piping hot and the potatoes were cooked perfectly. The flavor was good, if a little salty by the end on the potato burrito. I only wish they had fresh jalapeños as an option to add to the burritos, but I will absolutely be back here and I’m really excited to try the breakfast burritos!
Randomly stopped by here for breakfast and the food was good but the customer service was better!!! The burrito was pretty big, my girlfriend and I shared it.
My partner and I moved here from New Mexico a few months ago and had been missing the taste of home. We’re so happy to have found this place, the food is amazing and authentic. Can’t wait to see how it develops over time and special shout out to the staff for being so kind!
Tried Hatch Burritos in Durham NC. I really enjoyed the green chile soup. While it was a bit spicy for my taste, it was still very flavorful, especially after adding sour cream, which balanced the heat nicely. The tortilla that came with it was hot and fresh, and I definitely appreciated that. Now, onto the burrito. The flavors were there, but unfortunately it was far too wet. There was an excessive amount of sauce or cheese, which caused the burrito to lose its structure and completely fall apart. I was hoping for a burrito that was more crispy and nicely browned on the outside, but instead, that texture was only present on the inside once I cut it open. When I tried to share it, it completely fell apart, which took away from the overall experience. I’d still recommend giving it a try for yourself, but I’d suggest asking for the burrito with less sauce to avoid it being soggy.
