Grandad's General Store

Had a simple question about where to get beignet's and was not greeted nor helped. Instead guy behind the counter leaves, the girl behind the counter gets on her phone and just ignores me. I ask where do I go, and she says "we're just the gift shop, its across the street" all while just on her phone not making eye contact. Not a care in the world. Definitely wouldn't recommend with their crappy attitudes/environment.

A living piece of history! Stopped in for Cafe au lait and beignets and was not disappointed. The process was smooth and the staff was helpful and friendly! This is a must stop in the French Quarter!

Everything you could want to take home from Café Du Monde at good prices. Half the price for the mix and coffee than Walmart everywhere else in the US, which is nice. Staff was also very helpful and nice!

Purchased several items that would weigh us down flying home. Had items shipped. Store associate very helpful, patient and friendly. The box arrived in perfect condition, on time, and was expertly packed. Would definitely recommend.

Purchased a coffee cup for $7 (only to find out the more authentic Cafe Du Monde version across the street is ~$5 WITH coffee in it) and this is what happened after one wash. Just go to the cafe across the street, don’t buy from here.
