Little Shop of Bagels
1644 Ashland St #5, Ashland, OR
Crema's Take
“Tucked away in an Ashland shopping plaza, this bagel shop has earned a loyal following for its fresh-baked bagels (including gluten-free options) and solid coffee, though recent visitors note the quality has been inconsistent. It's a genuinely welcoming spot for lingering over breakfast or working on your laptop, with ample seating and a neighborhood gem vibe that makes it worth seeking out—just be prepared that service can be hit or miss depending on who's behind the counter.”

Stopped on my way back to Washington because I saw a sign on the highway. I ordered from my phone. I was confused about the breakfast sandwich not offering sausage or bacon. Thought that was odd. I ordered an egg sandwich on an everything bagel and a bagel with cream cheese. The packaging was such a waste. Get some service foil from Costco and save yourselves some money. What’s with the box and the large brown bag? The bagel with cream cheese was sliced in half and was packaged in another wasteful container. Wide open bagel with cream cheese on both sides. Such a waste. Cream cheese one side and close that bagel up. My dog did enjoy the egg from the egg sandwich. I know this review seems harsh, but it’s meant to be helpful. Full disclaimer, I am from NY and I do make my own bagels at home. Good job on the highway sign.
I came in today and the person who took my order was very rude. When I walked to the register their attitude was horrible. To quote them “what do you want?” After I placed my order before I paid they walked away and just said “tap there.” and just pointed to the register. The food however was very good the bagels were nice and fluffy it’s just the service
Really great bagel shop. They have gluten-free bagels and gluten-free scones as well. We had the turkey bagel with everything on it and the egg eggle bagel with eggs and cheese The coffee was really good. They have plenty of things to put on your bagel ast chili flakes, salt and pepper.
Been 5 years since I have been here, but I swear the bagels got smaller, plus the quality kind of went downhill. 5 stars since I ate it, but I was not impressed with the overall quality. I really felt like whomever made my bagel just needs a job, and doesn't really have a passion for food like I do. Totally understandable. Only word of advice is to learn how to cut a tomato. Really, you should not be using Romas on the bagel anyway! They are cheaper, yes, but they do your food no justice, at all. None. The girl working there was so nice. So 5 stars for her. Not the lady in the back though. She gets 1 star. She's probably the reason they use cheap tomatoes and the bagels are tiny, I bet.
While staying in Ashland, I was out walking and I found this gem of a restaurant. Tucked away in the back of the shopping plaza and up the hill is Little Shop of Bagels. This place has plenty of seating for a small restaurant, self serve coffee station, and great selection. I had the Turkey Melt bagel on a Cheese bagel, and it was Delish! The cheese was melted and hot, tomato was crunchy, and the bagel was soft like any NY bagel should be. While waiting in line, everyone was friendly and raving about the quality ingredients. I have to say, everything was fresh and tasty. Next time I am in town, I will definitely be back!
