Indigo Tea & Coffee
644 N Church St, Charlotte, NC
Crema's Take
“This Uptown Charlotte spot brings creative, beautifully balanced flavors to life through unexpected combinations like their lemon pound cake latte and yams latte that taste indulgent without being cloyingly sweet. Beyond the thoughtfully crafted drinks and solid coffee fundamentals, Indigo cultivates a genuinely welcoming atmosphere where you'll find DJ sets, easy parking, and laptop-friendly corners perfect for settling in—all backed by owners and staff who treat every customer with real warmth and respect. It's the kind of Black-owned coffee shop that gets the details right, from their matcha program to their pastry selection, making it feel like a community gathering spot rather than just another caffeine stop.”

My sister and I visited today for the first time and yes yes yes! We got a hot lemon pound cake latte and an iced yams latte and let me tell you…delicious. The flavors aren’t overly sweet that it overpowers the drink but still sweet to where you can clearly taste the flavoring and coffee. We also ordered a cinnamon roll and lawddd, again delicious. The owner was also so nice and offered us a discount (Go Duke!). Service was quick and fast and the vibes was 10/10. Good music and really cute interior. Will be back for sure!
Super cute coffee bar in Uptown clt. Great coffee selection. Limited pastry options. Today, they had a dj. Its also a great spot to bring your laptop and get some work done. Easy parking.
It’s a black owned coffee shop, need I say more? The workers and owners are amazing. They treat everyone with respect and kindness. Prices are fair and flavors are fantastic. They have very unique flavors. Better than any Starbucks I’ve had and my drink has never been made wrong or bad. I hope everyone supports them!
Very cool spot! Delicious coffee, good customer service, options for seating, fun colors and vibe. I would’ve sat inside, but it felt like they were blasting the heat so it was a bit uncomfortable temp wise. I sat in the park in the shade across the street. Fun spot though!
I stopped by Indigo Tea & Coffee Co. and ordered a matcha latte and a blueberry bagel. Both were really good! The space has been completely transformed from the previous business that was here - huge shoutout to the new owners for doing such a great job. The service was friendly, the vibes were great, and there were plenty of spots to work or cowork. The music was a bit loud while I was working, but my headset handled it just fine and nobody on my meeting said anything, so it wasn’t really an issue. Definitely a cool place to check out!
