Lucas Café and Pâtisserie

Crema's Take

This charming spot near the historic theatre marquee pulls off that rare feat of being both a serious espresso destination and a genuine neighborhood gathering place, where you can linger over a bold cup while watching Savannah street life unfold from the outdoor patio. The pastries—muffins, croissants, and cinnamon buns that actually rival the big chains—are made fresh daily and taste unmistakably homemade, paired perfectly with thoughtfully made drinks that go beyond the usual suspects. It's the kind of place where the staff remembers you're there to slow down, not rush through, making it equally ideal for a solo coffee moment or catching up with friends over genuinely good food.

Such a cute place! Stopped here for some cafe drinks and a quick bite to eat. When we got there we were the only ones at the moment so service was quick. I got a matcha latte which was comparable to Starbucks and they had sandwiches to go. I wish there were places to eat inside because the decor was beautiful!

Stopped here in the morning to get a cup of mocha and some peach tea. The mocha was really good and the tea was okayish. Cute little spot and the prices were decent as well.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The pastries, especially the muffins and croissants, are made fresh and you can really taste it. Everything feels homemade and well done. It’s a cute little coffee shop with outdoor seating where you can sit and enjoy the view of the square. Definitely worth trying, and I highly recommend. It’s located beside the Lucas theatre

Very friendly staff, good strong coffee, and excellent baked treats! The outside seating is wonderful on such a nice day with views of Broughton and Reynolds square.
