Crema's Take

Roasting Plant is a visually striking DC spot where watching your pour-over brew dispense through overhead tubes is half the experience, paired with genuinely excellent single-origin beans ground fresh for each cup. Beyond the theatrical coffee setup, they've cultivated a genuinely welcoming atmosphere with thoughtful food pairings like standout avocado toast, making it feel less like a caffeine pit stop and more like a destination for a slow morning.

Their coffee and beans are so good and surprisingly, the avocado toast was amazing! Love it and will be back for more!

Was interested in this cafe since they grind to order for drip coffee. Came here on three separate occasions and tried three different types of bean but I would say it's some what watery. Flavor was just okay but nothing noting. Service was good however.

I was walking on the street and saw this very cool coffee shop I thought I stopped by. I am literally blown Away of the technology of dispensing the coffee out of those tubes! One of the Barista explained to me how involved the owner of the coffee shop is with harvesting and roasting a coffee which happens at the store. Bought a bag to try! Highly recommend.

We stopped in here as it was right by our hotel. It was a quiet weekend morning, so it wasn't super busy. The staff was nice, but wow, everything was really overpriced. The food was not great. The yogurt parfait had a tiny portion of granola, which was mostly raisins. The avocado toast was fine, but overpriced for what you get. Overall, we'd have opted for something different but there weren't a lot of options since it was the weekend. There are a few tables outside, and the inside aesthetic is cute. And inclusive!
