Great place for Indian food in West Des Moines. Large menu and big buffet. Very friendly staff that went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. They gave our friend a piece of cake for his birthday. There was a big lunch rush right at noon, but there was plenty of room at 11:30 or 1.

Love the service and the attention our server Asad gave us. My good friend and I were catching up after a long time. Asad gave us the space we needed and made some excellent suggestions ( masala dosa, idly and vada South Indian dishes not commonly served in most Indian restaurants). Very polite and efficient had a real pleasure to talk to

We recently celebrated a birthday at Chowrastha and enjoyed the delicious buffet and their moist flavorful Indian cake. The service was excellent. They even sang Happy Birthday making the occasion special. Recommend highly!

First time into this restaurant and was pleasantly surprised. We ordered vegetable samosas, garlic naan and butter chicken. Everything was absolutely amazing. The sauce for the samosas... We had Chicken Majestic, Special Boneless Biryani, Panipuri, Idly Vada Punugulu, and Veg Manchuria — everything was super delicious! The flavors were authentic, portions generous, and the food came fresh and hot. Only the Mirchi Bajji could’ve been better, but apart from that, the entire meal was perfect. Highly recommend this place if you’re craving real Indian taste with great service and ambiance is okay okay ..
