Crema's Take

Tatte's sprawling Back Bay location delivers one of Boston's most coveted cafe atmospheres with sleek, modern design that somehow feels both energetic and conducive to lingering with a laptop. Their menu shines brightest in creative specialty drinks like their acclaimed black sesame latte and distinctive matcha offerings, backed by an exceptional bakery selection and solid brunch fare like their flavorful chicken pita and scrambled egg plates. Fair warning: arrive early or during off-peak hours if you want to actually enjoy the space rather than navigate the notorious midday crush.

This cafe has one of the best cafe ambiance in the City! The menu is so versatile and tasty. The inside of the cafe is huge but it gets super busy during rush hours. Customer service is decent and quick.

Really liked this cafe. Sleek and modern decor. Bakery selection was outstanding. We had black sesame latte (really good not too sweet), cappuccino, scrambled egg plate with prosciutto and Parmesan (decent), and sweet French toast (really good).

I visited Tatte Bakery & Café in Back Bay and tried the Chicken Pita, which came with creamy grilled chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, and cucumbers. It was really good — flavorful, fresh, and definitely one of the better quick bites I’ve had in Boston. The vibe of the place was unmatched too; it feels lively and stylish. The only challenge was the crowd. The café was absolutely packed, and there was almost no place to sit. Luckily, I managed to find one spot after waiting a bit, but it was clearly a very popular location. I didn’t try the coffee this time, but the menu looked impressive, especially the huge variety of pastries, desserts, and sweet items. I’m not much into sweets, but everything looked tempting, and I’d definitely come back to try more items. Overall, great food and great atmosphere — just be ready for the crowd!

This place had a huge line which after waiting 10 minutes to order I was excited. Their food presentation was quite nice, it’s definitely too bad the flavor wasn’t a match to the appearance. The chocolate muffin looked awesome but it was totally dry inside. The pumpkin pie and pecan dessert were equally disappointing as they looked so good. Overall maybe I ordered the wrong things or this place has good coffee but it was a big disappointed for me.

Lovely breakfast place, great variety of pastries but also hot food. I came on a Sunday and it was very busy managed to get a seat at the bar as I was alone. Back again on Monday and it’s much quieter. The overnight oats are delicious! Will be back everyday whilst I am here for work for the UK.
