We stopped by The Village Roost and honestly, it was so good!!! The food was amazing, one of those meals where everything just hits. Fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. You can tell they take pride in what they’re serving. The atmosphere was great and super family friendly. It felt relaxed and welcoming, the kind of place where you can come with kids and actually enjoy yourself. The staff was warm and attentive without being over the top. It just felt easy being there. I even had a chance to meet the owner, and she was genuinely wonderful. You can tell she really cares about the place and the people who walk through the door. Overall, just a great vibe, amazing food, and a spot I’d absolutely recommend to anyone in the area. We’ll definitely be back!!!!

Stopped by for breakfast with my wife before heading up to MT. Snow on a brisk Saturday morning and was not disappointed. The atmosphere is cute and welcoming and the bacon, egg and cheese was a welcome start to the day that kept me warm for hours on a chilly VT day. The live edge barrel sink it the bathroom was a cool artistic touch as well. Next time we are in Wilmington, we will be sure to stop by again!

I absolutely love this café/restaurant — it’s one of those rare spots that truly does everything well. The food is consistently excellent, whether you’re stopping in for a coffee, a quick sandwich, a hearty burger, or a warm bowl of soup after a long day. Everything tastes fresh and thoughtfully prepared, and I really appreciate that they focus on organic, local, and non-GMO ingredients. You can genuinely taste the quality. What really sets this place apart, though, is the store attached to it. It’s a surprisingly large and well-curated retail space with a great mix of clothing, sunglasses, and seasonal gear. In the winter especially, it’s the perfect stop for ski essentials like goggles, socks, and hats — practical items, but also stylish and good quality. It’s not a souvenir shop and more a curated boutique you actually want to browse. The staff are always friendly, welcoming, and helpful without ever being pushy. They create such an easy, relaxed atmosphere that you end up wanting to stay longer than you planned. Whether you’re local or just visiting Vermont, this spot is absolutely worth a stop — great food, thoughtful ingredients, fun shopping, and genuinely kind people

Whenever we are in town this is a must! Family owned and run. We love the Green Mountain and Happy Hen Sandwiches. The breakfast sandwich on the potato roll sooo good, and the burgers 🍔 😋. Take out or sit by the fire in the dining room. They also have a small shopping area with All Things Vermont!!⛷️
