Such great food, and at a reasonable price as well. They really impressed me with what they were able to make to accommodate gluten-free/ diary free

I stopped at Moondog Café while passing through Bellows Falls on my way to Burlington, and it absolutely lived up to the high recommendations. The only seat available was at a shared table, and the welcoming spirit started there. The other guest kindly invited me to sit, and the hostess was friendly, warm, and incredibly accommodating. The curry chicken salad wrap was outstanding — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The pesto macaroni salad was just as delicious. I also grabbed a ginger scone to go, and later that evening in my Burlington hotel, I enjoyed it with a cup of tea — it was amazing. Wonderful food, genuine hospitality, and a true Vermont gem. I would definitely return.

I came to Moon Dog Café looking for a spot to write and was surprised to find it’s more of a full restaurant than a typical café (this is not the type of place to use your laptops - small tables with lots of people waiting to use them). It was packed during my first visit, but I only had to wait about ten minutes for a table. The lone server was clearly frazzled but did a great job keeping things moving with minimal delays. They were out of soup and a few other menu items, and when I went to get coffee the pot was empty. Still, I ended up with a delicious chicken panini with salsa, rice and beans, plus a little pasta salad on the side. The food was filling, flavorful, and reasonably priced. They do serve lattes, pastries, and other café-style options, but given how busy they were I didn’t want to add to the stress of the staff. I’d definitely be interested in going back sometime, especially to try their soups when they have them in stock again.

Amazing breakfast, great coffee and friendly service! Definitely recommend the breakfast burrito, and french toast. Perfect stop for a bite to eat if you're doing a scenic drive in the area. The street also has some unique buildings and shops which makes for a nice walk to take photos and explore while you're in the area. *Note my photo is only half a portion of each the burrito and french toast, I shared with a friend, and the staff was kind enough to split our halves on separate plates*

Moon Dog Cafe located in Bellows Falls, VT is excellent! I had my introduction to the restaurant this morning and HIGHLY recommend!!! The Cristo French toast on the menu is a must! Ham, VT cheese, VT maple syrup, overflowing in the French Toast, yummy 😋!! Dog friendly with local artists work decorating the walls and for sale. I look forward in visiting again! The Harvest Turkey sandwich was also Fantastic!!!!
