This place! We were looking to grab breakfast for the road before 8am and Google sent us here. What a gift! Our hangry family of six piled in and was met with such grace and hospitality even just for a take out breakfast order. The house-made fennel sausage on a breakfast was perfect, and the kids loved the waffle, breakfast burrito, and OG sandwich. But the hospitality was what made it, I wanted to hang out there with my (well-brewed Fogbuster) coffee all day! Thanks for making a Tuesday morning special.
Our second time here- easy on/off. Not your run-of the -mill menu. Last time we were here had breakfast bowl- excellent with excellent coffee. Today was lunch. Pork Banh Mi on house made roll, with housemade pickled veggies. Also had the lemon dill tuna melt with tomatoes and onions. To drink the housemade pomegranate lemonade, and brewed in house iced tea. It was quite busy, seems to be very popular with the locals- always a good sign. Our only disappointment was that because we were there late in the day we did not get to try any of their sweet baked goods- they were sold out. Gives us a good excuse to stop again next time we are going thru Brattleboro!
We were recommended to use The Porch for our wedding catering. We could have not been more happy to have worked with Gretchen and all of her staff over at The Porch. Everything from the menu planning, to the tasting, to the day of our wedding was so amazing. She made sure everything was exactly as we wanted and the food was incredible. Our guests were blown away by how good all of the food was, especially the steak. We would recommend using Gretchen and The Porch for any wedding or any other event. The main restaurant is also amazing and highly recommended.
Fabulous and generously sized sandwiches and salads (as well as breakfast foods). We ate outside on a perfect sunny late summer afternoon among the tomato plants and flowers. I had Feel the Bern (cheddar, turkey, bacon, green apple slices on sourdough heated and pressed in a panini oven). It was amazing but a little too sweet for my taste, due to the mango habanero jam. The Vietnamese chicken salad was perfect. Next time I’d do 1/2 sandwich or share the salad. Also got a crazy delicious chocolate macadamia nut cookie. A lovely kitchen staff/owner (?) and clean well-appointed bathrooms were a bonus!
Gretchen of The Porch came highly recommended by our wedding planner to cater our wedding at Aldworth Manor, and she truly knocked it out of the park. The food was one of the most important aspects of our wedding, and we couldn’t be happier with the menu Gretchen created. From the locally sourced short ribs to the stunning raw bar, every dish was absolutely delicious—our guests are still raving about it! She even made a special plate with all three entrée options for my husband and me to enjoy. Her team of servers was equally wonderful, ensuring everything went smoothly. We’re so grateful they were part of our special day!
