Crema's Take
“Yin's Tea fills a real gap in Portland's boba scene with expertly crafted milk teas that capture authentic Taiwan flavors, drawing loyal regulars who keep coming back for the strong, flavorful brews like their standout Asam Milk Tea. The bright, modern space feels genuinely inviting, and whether you're ordering their signature creative drinks or exploring their full menu of fruit teas and coffee, there's a thoughtful quality to every cup that sets them apart from typical grab-and-go spots.”

Portland honestly doesn’t have a ton of great boba spots, so it was really nice to find one that does it well. Ying’s Tea was solid. I tried the Garden Fairy and Keep It Pink, and both were really good, refreshing and balanced. My partner tried their Assam, and you could actually taste the tea even at half sugar. Everything felt well made and not overly sweet like some places. Definitely a spot we’d come back to. Also a bonus that it’s conveniently located next to one of our favorite Korean restaurants in the same plaza, so it’s a perfect stop for a drink after eating. Would recommend checking it out.
Yin's Tea is such a cute spot—bright, modern, and very inviting. They have a great selection of drinks, from milk tea and fruit tea to coffee, so there’s something for everyone. I ordered the High Mountain Oolong Milk Tea with whole milk, and if you’re a true tea person, this one’s for you. The tea is freshly brewed, strong, and fragrant, and the sweetness level was perfectly balanced—not overpowering at all. The boba was really nice too—soft, chewy, and the perfect texture. I also tried their new item, Mango Boom, which was yummy. It has a good amount of real mango flavor and pairs really well with the coconut cream. Refreshing and not too sweet. Overall, a great place and definitely worth coming back to try more drinks. Highly recommend giving it a visit! 😊
10 out of 10! Yin’s Tea is my go to boba shop in Portland! I started with Asam Milk Tea with lactose free dairy and got hookedddd!!! The tea is strong and flavorful which is perfect for a milk tea! Mango Sago (Da Queen) is one of the best too! There is fresh mango chunk inside which makes it even better! The shop is always very clean and well decorated. The front line is always kind and friendly! With a full punch card (10 stamps) you get to exchange a free drink with a mystery gifts and I think it proves how many time I’ve been here! :)
I’ve come here more times than I can count, and YINS is easily my favorite spot in Portland and the only place which reminds me of the milk tea back in Taiwan. The drinks are always so flavorful and they use freshly brewed tea, no powders. You can actually taste the tea flavor rather than some places which taste like 90% milk. My absolute favorite is the roasted dong-ding oolong milk tea. The oolong flavor is rich and the milk is smooth. Overall 10/10 this place deserves more recognition!
The interior decor of the shop is absolutely stunning and elegant. We tried various drinks and each one was delightful. The mango sago was particularly delicious with its rich mango flavor. I loved the Earl milk tea for its perfect balance of tea and milk, although I wasn't a fan of the boba as it tended to become too hard. The peach tea was decent, though, especially for peach lovers. The staff were also very friendly. I'll definitely be returning for more visits!
