Crema's Take

Oakport Cafe is a neighborhood gem where locals keep coming back for their exceptional sandwiches on impossibly soft Dutch crunch rolls paired with surprisingly good coffee at prices that won't break the bank. The staff remembers your order if you're a regular, and the casual vibe works equally well for a quick lunch grab or lingering over a meeting, making it the unofficial gathering spot for the surrounding business park.

I started going here like 4 months ago and I cannot stop coming back their sandwiches are so fresh and they have the softest rolls. I don't know what they put on it but it is very delicious and flavorful. Their service is very fast I go there all my lunch break and it doesn't take longer than 5 minutes. The staff is also very polite.

GREAT PRICES. Generous sandwiches. Most affordable lunch option in the area. Staff are nice and if you visit often enough, like one of my coworkers, they remember you 😁

The Dutch crunch roll is fantastic. I got the Turkey and bacon on Dutch crunch. There was no mention of jalapeños or whatever they have pulverized and spread on the bottom layer under mustard and lettuce, but wow, it’s hot. We ordered two different sandwiches, and both would’ve been great without that added. It’s honestly all I could taste, so once I found it I scraped it out. This is how much they put on half a sandwich. The salad bar is facing a glass wall and the egg yolks looked dried out and hard at 12:30pm. I wouldn’t try the salad…

Not so good… am surprised by the great reviews. I ordered a bagel, scrambled eggs, and a strawberry banana smoothie. The bagel was fine, totally normal. The eggs were microwaved (it appears they don’t have any kind of stove /oven). So that was kind of.. yuck. And the smoothie was made with a flavoring, NOT the actual fruit. I think that’s the first time I had a strawberry banana smoothie that didn’t have strawberries or bananas in it. Employees were nice. But anyway. Wouldn’t go back.

I work in the surrounding business park and this is by far the best choice for lunch close by but also just in general! I had the turkey and bacon sandwich and a large coffee. The coffee was flavorful and the sandwich was DELICIOUS.
