Cannelle
110 E Washington St, Ann Arbor, MI
Crema's Take
“Cannelle is a French-inspired pastry haven where the visual appeal matches the taste, with fresh, beautifully crafted croissants and tarts that justify lingering over coffee for hours. The cozy, welcoming atmosphere and generous indoor and outdoor seating make it equally suited for solo work sessions or catching up with friends, though pastry preferences can be surprisingly personal—some swear by the chocolate pistachio croissants while others have their misses. With consistently friendly staff and an undeniable reputation for quality, it's the kind of place where you'll want to explore the display case carefully before deciding what to order.”

If it's your first visit, be prepared for a stunning array of beautiful pastries! I was mesmerized by the selection, I ended up with a raspberry pistachio tart, a chicken sandwich and raspberry & chocolate croissant, although I would have loved one of everything! They also have delicious salads, beautiful breads & coffees.
Canelle in Ann Arbor is fantastic. The pastries are fresh, flavorful, and beautifully made, with a perfect balance of sweetness. The atmosphere is cozy, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. A must visit French bakery in Ann Arbor.
Such a waste of my money. I’ve gotten an almond croissant each time I’ve gone, which has been twice now. It’s my mistake that I ordered it again because I remember it being bad the first time I got it. I was silly to get it again because it was just as bad. You can only eat the top half of the croissant because the other half is doughy and gross (as shown in picture). Wish I didn’t get this and will probably not be back. The chai was good but not good enough for me to give the spot a good review. Such a disappointment because the ambiance in the cafe is nice and the staff were nice.
Delicious chocolate pistachio croissants! I got mine heated up and it was perfect. The quality of the chocolate just really stands out to me. Staff are very nice and there’s plenty of room to sit inside there.
Stopped here during a day trip to Ann Arbor and it was delightful. Food tasted just as good as it looks. Loved the outside seating. Staff were attentive. Lots of people on laptops for what looks like school and work on a weekday. Would recommend!
