Crema's Take
“This welcoming Ann Arbor spot feels like the relaxed younger sibling of the famous deli next door, serving thoughtfully crafted specialty drinks like the cardamom-coconut Karma Sutra alongside fresh-baked pastries and light fare at prices that won't break the bank. The baristas genuinely help you navigate the menu, the space invites you to linger with its calm vibe and generous seating, and there's an impressive chocolate selection that keeps both coffee lovers and casual visitors coming back. Whether you're grabbing a quick cup before work or settling in for an afternoon, the whole team makes you feel like a regular from the moment you walk in.”

I went in for a quick coffee before work and the place had a calm, easygoing vibe. The barista greeted me right away and helped me pick something since I wasn’t sure what to order. I got a medium roast and it tasted fresh, not too strong but still had good flavor. The shop itself was clean and there were a few people working on laptops which made it feel relaxed. My order took a few minutes but nothing unreasonable. Prices seemed pretty normal for a coffee shop around here. Overall it was a good experience and I’d likely come back when I’m in the area again.
I ordered the corned beef hash burrito ($9), karma sutra ($5, hot chocolate with coconut, cardamom), citrus roll $3, ginger scone $4, all for the price of what one sandwich would cost at the deli next door. The burrito was excellent and scratched my corned beef craving just right, definitely improved with a Lil hot sauce. I went for hot chocolate since its all homemade and was so stunned by the depths of flavor to the cocoa and the yummy balance with coconut and cardamom. The ginger scone had a nice bake on the outside and inside, but the inside was not as tall as I'm used to on a scone, was looking for more fluffiness. The citrus roll was ok, good if you need a citrus hit but pretty middle of the road. Highly recommend the burritos and hot chocolate. Try something fun from the bakery case and see how it goes. All for the price of one sandwich next door.
Everything a coffee shop should be. They have a bit of everything to offer. Fresh baked pastry, one of the best chocolate sections in town. Every one is super friendly and there is plenty of seating upstairs.
It also makes the perfect after-meal treat — or if you’re waiting around, you can totally grab a slice of cake or some ice cream to try! 🍰⏳🍦 A sweet little pick-me-up that makes the experience even better ✨😋
Good coffee and ice cream. Enjoyed the ginger scone, too, but it wasn't anything special, I'm afraid. But the whole compound is so much fun and very inviting. Staff was excellent. Disappointed that they're not open earlier in the morning since the bagels look like the real deal but I would absolutely come back again!
