Crema's Take

This beloved Seacoast institution is a family-owned market and café that's earned its stellar reputation through exceptional breakfast sandwiches and creative customization—whether you're after a perfectly shredded chicken salad sandwich, a vegan build-your-own with tofu and pickled onions, or the locally legendary breakfast sandwich that locals swear is the best around. The freshly renovated, modern-clean space strikes that perfect balance between cozy neighborhood market and quality coffee destination, making it equally ideal for a quick espresso and pastry or a lingering breakfast with friends and family. With consistently top-tier ingredients and a genuinely warm, welcoming vibe, it's the kind of place where regulars return again and again and newcomers immediately understand why.

My husband and I are on a mission to find the best sandwiches around (specifically chicken salad) and Maine Market just might be the winner. Nicely shredded and well seasoned. Bonus points for a delicious gluten free wrap that doesn’t fall apart! I met my mom here for lunch today and we both enjoyed our sandwiches and drinks in the sunny bar seating area. I brought home a sandwich for my husband as well and everyone had leftovers - big portions and quality ingredients that are worth the cost. I’ll be back, looking forward to checking out breakfast as well!

Best there is. Breakfast sandwich is without a doubt best on the whole seacost. That goes for sandwiches as well. Everything is top tier. Family owned and as friendly as could be. There isn’t a better local breakfast and lunch spot out there. 20/10 🤌🤌🤌

The Maine Market in Elliot, ME, is a hidden gem that combines the charm of a cozy, local market with a surprising selection of quality products. It has a warm, welcoming vibe that makes it feel like a true community hub. The beer and wine selection is notably decent, offering a nice mix of local and popular options, perfect for any casual gathering or a quiet night in. What really stands out, however, is their made-to-order sandwiches. They are absolutely delicious, crafted with fresh ingredients and made to suit your taste. Whether you're grabbing a quick lunch or indulging in a savory treat, the sandwiches are sure to hit the spot. I opted for the Reuben Panini (check out the photo). We also tried the turkey and chicken Caesar wraps. Overall, if you're in the area, the Maine Market is definitely worth a visit for its friendly atmosphere, tasty food, and quality drinks. It’s a perfect stop for locals and visitors alike looking for a laid-back, satisfying experience.

Best vegan breakfast sandwich on the Seacoast. I always get the build your own breakfast sandwich with tofu, vegan sausage and cheese with pickled onions and spinach on a bulkie. Delicious!! Everyone here is super kind and I look forward to going as often as I can.

Had a great breakfast here. The building is freshly rebuilt modern and clean. Great coffee and espresso. I had them build me a breakfast sandwich with egg, cheese bacon avocado and tomato. The ingredients were super fresh and it was an exceptional way to start the day with a mocha latte. Staff are super caring.
