Crema's Take
“This cat café in DC serves thoughtfully crafted traditional coffee drinks in a genuinely cozy space where the real magic is hanging out with adoptable cats that are clearly loved and well-cared-for by staff who actually seem to enjoy their job. It's the kind of place where you can linger for hours with excellent wifi, fresh pastries, and the kind of warm hospitality that makes you feel welcomed whether you're a solo coffee drinker, meeting a friend, or bringing your family. The café has clearly mastered the art of successful cat adoptions while creating a relaxing escape from DC's hustle—visitors consistently leave charmed by both the animals and the genuine kindness of the team.”

Such a cozy and wholesome experience! The café itself is super cute and relaxing, and the cats are all clearly very well cared for and happy. It’s the perfect place to unwind, grab a drink, and spend time with some adorable feline friends. The staff was friendly and made sure everything was comfortable for both guests and the cats. I could have stayed here all day! Highly recommend visiting if you’re a cat lover or just want a unique, feel-good café experience.
I loved it ! All the cats were so sweet and the employees as well! The area was clean and neat I totally recommend!
The employees were so sweet and seemed to genuinely love the cats which was sweet. All the cats are adaptable and they get new cats pretty often, they're really successful at adoption! There were laser pointers and other toys around the cafe, so you could engage with the cats. Their only rule was dont pick them up, which is very reasonable and some cats will come to you! They had a bathroom and a shoe/bag rack in the front, as well as a little bit of merchandise. They welcome kids, people can walk in without an appointment or book one on their cute and easy website, it's all around a lovely cafe!
Do I have cats of my own? Yes. Did I still enjoy my time visiting the cats at Meow Maison? ZOMG YES!!!!!!! It was such an amazing experience because I hung out with so many cats at the same time and got to see all their funny personalities. The bonus for me is that my cats aren’t much for lap cuddles, so I got my fill with the adorable kitties (see pic!) My favorite part about the experience is that the cats choose whether they want to hang out. The shy kitties stay downstairs while the ones that want to socialize hangout on the main floor. How cool is that?! Even if you aren’t there to adopt, you feel good about the time you spend there because you’re helping the cats socialize with a lot of people, making them more adoptable. It’s a win-win! The volunteers there are kind and knowledgeable. You can tell they really love being there, which adds to the cozy atmosphere. I will be making this a regular stop!
Great experience, totally worth it! Before you get to the cats, you meet Bryna at the register who is such a warm and professional young lady. She answered all my questions thoroughly & patiently. Inside, you will meet the cat community, each with a unique personality. I had a lovely experience with Ghost pepper, an explorer kitten, and Fergus, a warm 12 year old cat, who can be a little timid in the beginning. All cats are adoptable, their policies are straight forward, and I’ll definitely consider adopting from this place in the future. Thank you for the lovely and uplifting experience 🤍
