Canyon Adventures Bike Tours & Cafe
10 S Entrance Rd, Grand Canyon Village, AZ
Crema's Take
“Nestled in Grand Canyon Village, this bike tour cafe perfectly pairs espresso-focused drinks with access to some of Arizona's most stunning rides, making it an ideal pit stop whether you're fueling up before a canyon adventure or unwinding after. The staff consistently earns praise for their helpfulness and knowledge, creating a genuinely welcoming atmosphere where families and cyclists feel equally at home, and the outdoor seating lets you linger over a specialty drink while taking in those unforgettable views. It's the kind of place that transforms a coffee run into a memory, especially if you time it right with an e-bike rental out to Hermits Point.”

On February 13th we came to the Grand Canyon after driving almost 4 hours with our child. Unfortunately, the entire canyon was completely covered in thick fog. It was snowing and raining at the same time, the weather was freezing, and we got completely wet and extremely cold. A day we had been looking forward to turned into a disappointment because of the weather. We stopped at this café to warm up a little. The female barista made us a truly delicious hot coffee and was kind and friendly — many thanks to her. After our first visit, we had a very positive impression. But what happened next completely ruined it. We had our child with us, and he only drinks warm milk. We came back to simply heat up a clean bottle of milk in the public microwave. The microwave was located in the self-service area, not in the kitchen or any restricted staff area. This time there was a male employee at the counter. He rudely refused us twice, saying that we would “make his microwave dirty.” We calmly explained that the bottle was clean and that the milk was for our child, who was freezing and crying. He showed no understanding and refused without any real reason. This is not a vegan establishment or a place that doesn’t serve dairy — they sell regular products, including milk. Our milk posed absolutely no threat. The refusal felt completely unreasonable and lacking basic human kindness. Our child was crying from the cold and refused to drink cold milk. In the freezing weather, we were forced to drive to a nearby town just to find a place where we could heat it up. After this experience, we feel not only disappointed but genuinely upset. In a tourist destination — especially in such harsh winter conditions — you expect at least a little humanity, especially when it concerns a child. Unfortunately, instead of understanding, we were met with rudeness and a complete lack of empathy. If we ever return to this area, we will go out of our way to avoid this establishment.
My family and I rented bikes in Acadia, Zion, Grand Canyon and Yellowstone. Canyon Adventures and riding bikes in the Grand Canyon was the best ride we did by a long shot. The staff were super helpful and knowledgeable! Nate? was the best we encountered at all the parks we visited. His enthusiasm was contagious and he made our experience fun and smooth.
Great experience. Go for the full day hire and ride out to hermits point. Amazing views, some hills but easily doable on an e bike. Staff were very friendly and informative.
We wanted to rent e-bikes but they wouldn't let my 5' tall 12 year old rent one so we got regular peddle bikes. This would have been fine if they had also been more forthcoming about the steep incline we faced from the first lookout (trail view I think) on the way to Hermits Rest! If you do this with kids I suggest that you put the bikes on the bus and ride to Hermits Rest, then bike BACK. Otherwise, the bikes were in good condition and easy to get without advanced reservation.
Had no idea this was so close to Phoenix (~3 hrs). This is a must. Now we know why the Grand Canyon is one of the great wonders of the world. Renting ebikes is the way to go. You won't have to wait for the busses and can go wherever you want whenever you want! The staff is GREAT. The bikes are easy to ride. This is the way to see the GC!
