Crema's Take
“Rehla Coffee House wraps you in warmth the moment you walk through the door, from the handwritten welcome to the soft velvet chairs and Middle Eastern-themed charm that makes it feel like a thoughtful retreat rather than just another café. Beyond their impressive specialty drinks like the Biscoff latte and creative pastries like Tiramisu cheesecake, what really sets them apart is how genuinely the staff listens—ask for something specific and they'll craft the perfect drink for you. Whether you're playing cards with friends, working on a project, or simply collecting your thoughts, this is the kind of place that feels personal and intentional.”

Really appreciated the cozy atmosphere with the soft velvet chairs and decorations. Felt comfortable having our coffee and sweet treats while playing cards. Tried the Tiramisu cheesecake, Dubai chocolate cheesecake, and Ferrero cheesecake. Would definitely get the Dubai again and probably branch out to the standard Tiramisu next time instead of Tiramisu cheesecake. I was in a sugary mood so I wanted a bigger sweetness kick but overall I thought it was well done.
Rehla is becoming the place I go to collect my thoughts. It is a great place to meet friends, take a minute to collect your thoughts or work on a project. It is unique among local coffee shops with its very upscale feel. The environment is very well appointed for both casual or formal coffee drinking.
First time here and customer service was great. I asked for something that has Carmel, caffeinated and sweet. The gentlemen behind the counter suggest a biscchoff latte iced double shot with whole milk. It was about 8$. So good! I didn’t try their desserts but they had the TikTok airbrushed desserts along with the mango and peach ice cream. They are located literally next store to the Douglas institute. There is a bathroom and lots of space to sit down.
This new establishment in downtown Royal Oak is fantastically charming with an impressive modern Middle Eastern-themed architecture. The pastry selection is wonderful, and the coffee and fresh fruit drink was excellent! I'm impressed by the debut of this coffee house, and I wish you all the best, Team Rehla.🤞🤗
The first thing you are greeted with as you approach this small Arabica business is the warming welcome placed on the door itself that has been hand written. Once you’re inside the food is the next thing to catch your eye. You’re immediately greeted with many sweet treats and an extremely personable staff. All staff on shift were very kind, very helpful, and very much holding true to that Rehla welcome. Rehla welcomes all, it does not matter if you wish to come with a group or come individually. The most important thing is to make it there and give this little shop that’s tucked away the try it deserves. The atmosphere is delightful. Music isn’t soft enough to be a distant hum, and it isn’t loud enough to overtake a table-based conversation or order at the register. Everything was pleasant. Private seating arrangements can be had inside a room with glass doors, there is seating by a cozy reading nook, and there are also plenty of open tables with options of chairs or banquette seating. The banquette features movable arm rests that can be moved around or even removed for individual comfort. The treats will not disappoint you if you can tolerate sweetness. Everything was beautifully made and prepared with a taste that matched. My personal recommendation is the mixed berry cheesecake. The topping is everything you would want in a strawberry topping, and the cheesecake is wonderfully rich. Presentation was perfect, even when served, and the perfect size portion for one. Berries were fresh, ripe, sweet, and complimentary. Even the crust was delectably done. Drinks are made by hand to your specifications with ease and come out perfect. I cannot speak for the coffee at this time, but I can speak for their refreshers. Pleasantly cold, real fruit, and perfectly sweet. They have managed to find the balance between flavor and sweetness that hits the spot. Straws are available and higher quality paper-based to reduce waste allowing you to drink accessibly without guilt. Prices are very fair and in normal range for a small business coffee shop, there is no extreme overpricing. Everything is crafted by hand and you can truly taste the love that pours into everything you get whether it’s to your table or to-go. I would have no problem stopping in here again and hope I get a chance in the future to do so. Until then, you’ll just have to toss them the extra support from me.
