Seasmith

118 Broadway E, Seattle, WA

Crema's Take

Seasmith captures that coveted late-night Seattle coffee shop vibe with genuinely excellent espresso drinks and chai lattes that keep people coming back, all wrapped up in a beautifully minimal Scandinavian-designed space that's equally suited for a quick cold brew grab or lingering over work. The energy here runs high with quick, attentive service and scrupulously clean bathrooms, though the food side (pre-made breakfast sandwiches) doesn't quite match the coffee's quality. If you're hunting for somewhere open later than most Seattle cafes with baristas who actually know their craft, this is worth the trip.

I received super quick service and a tasty cold brew during my short visit on a gray Sunday to Seasmith. Service wa helpful and the energy was high inside. Bathrooms were very clean as well. Nice coffee shop!

Great atmosphere, good coffee, and okay food. Wish there breakfast sandwiches were better (think they heat up pre made stuff). But nice place to work for a bit.

Wonderful coffee place with great espresso, cappuccino, and outstanding chai lattes! This is one of the best places in Seattle that’s open relatively late. The espresso was rich and aromatic, cappuccinos are consistently great according to my wife, and the chai lattes are exceptionally good.

Very cute cafe. Great coffee. They do need not people in the weekend. We came pretty early for a Saturday. Around 9:30 and the wait for the sandwich was probably about 20 min by which time we had to leave in 5 min and I didn’t have enough time to even finish it there which was kind of the point. Love that they have water bottles and glasses and overall the place is very nice looking

This shop reminds me of a lot of trendy shops in Seattle; catches the eye but leaves something to be desired. The layout and design is wonderful with a modern Scandinavian design and has lots of seating, and I can't forget to mention the fantastic location with it being right along Broadway in Cap Hill. I love the fact they use and sell Olympia coffee and have a wide variety of baked goods, but unfortunately the food and drinks got me a bit bummed. We ordered a matcha latte and espresso tonic to drink, the matcha was not strong/ very milky and the espresso tonic could've used more syrup or less tonic. We also ordered some cookies and an egg and ham sandwich, the cookies were tasty, but the sandwich had virtually no flavor/ sauce and the bread was stale. Regardless, the baristas gave us great service, the shop was comfortable to be in, and I'm willing to give it another shot in the future.
