Kestrel Coffee Roasters
47 Maple St, Burlington, VT
Crema's Take
“Kestrel is a luminous, gallery-like space in an old bank building where the espresso and pour-overs are genuinely excellent and the baristas are genuinely welcoming—the kind of place where you'll want to linger over a perfectly pulled shot or creamy latte. With soaring ceilings, natural light, and thoughtfully curated details (including a little pop-up shop tucked in a vintage bank vault), it strikes that rare balance of being beautiful enough to savor and comfortable enough to camp out with your laptop for hours.”

This was the best latte I've had in a while. I also tried my partner's espresso they ordered and it was a really well done espresso. Highly recommend for the coffee alone. It's also a great spot for getting work done. We went on a Saturday and it was still relatively quiet with plenty of available seating. Lot's of table top space too, if you hate being cramped at a tiny table. Nearby metered street parking is available (free on Sundays). If the weather were warmer, it would also be a great spot to then go on a walk by the lake. Oh and lot's of great natural light from the large windows!
Great coffee shop! Highly recommend. The team who works here is super kind, the coffee is great, and the workspace is perfect. I travel full time and work virtually and have been here 3 days in a row!
Clean, bright. On the pretentious side. The guy working was polite and friendly. I am not sure what the normal price point for the area is...but 9.25 for a SMALL iced dirty chai is outrageous. It was fine but not 9.25 fine.
It was a lovely spot to grab a maple latte and little pastry. The cafe is in a wide open gallery space, with soft music filling it. The baristas were very welcoming.
One of my favorite coffee spots in Burlington. The space is super cool and airy with lots of natural light and old wood floors (there’s even a little pop up shop in an old bank vault - although I loved that even more when it was available as a seating area). It’s a fully accessible space with lots of seating options, free indoor bike parking, a great (and clean) bathroom, decent WiFi and rotating art exhibits. Perfect place to work, have a meeting, take a date or just sit and people watch on Maple Street. The staff are always super friendly and the coffee is excellent (Kestrel roasts their own at their facility in South Burlington). It’s also super close to Perkins Pier if you want to take your drink to go and enjoy the beautiful lake view!
