Crema's Take
“Chacónne Patisserie is a beloved pastry destination that's earned serious loyalty for their standout baked goods, from cinnamon rolls that locals have followed since their farmer's market days to creative seasonal offerings like lemon poppyseed matcha that balance sweetness with surprising herbaceous notes. The espresso program shines too, with Peixoto coffee as the foundation for signature drinks crafted with real care and creativity. It's the kind of cozy neighborhood spot where both the coffee and pastries feel thoughtfully made, drawing people back again and again.”

Wow, this place is fantastic. I got a drink and a variety of pastries. I tried the seasonal lemon poppyseed matcha and it was a really nice balance of sweet and grassy. The quiche is really creamy and delicious. All the croissants are laminated to perfection. The donuts and cardamom bun have a lovely texture and balance of flavors. You can't go wrong here.
This is my favorite cinnamon roll in phx. I’ve been buying them since he was at the farmer market. The nene spot is cute. Their coffee is wonderful because peixoto makes the most amazing custom flavors. It’s a splurge for sure and nice spot for a drink and something sweet. Not set up as a work spot.
My experience was definitely not as positive as the other reviewers. I will start with the favorable comment, that the jalapeno cheese bread was the best I have ever had and it is still soft and flavorful after a few days in my bread box (microwave). I can't say anything even close about the pecan coffee cake, which was dry, stuck to the paper on the sides and bottom, and was mediocre at best. That's the one I picked because the other pastries looked dried out, desiccated, and my first thought was they don't really look good, and they're small for those prices. I am planning to go back for the bread, doubtful I will try any pastries when I have many other bakery options
They have great pastries, but some are better than others. We’ve had their morning bun at another coffee spot and it was super flaky and delicious! This time we got a savory croissant and an almond croissant. They both look amazing! The tomato thyme had delicious juicy tomatoes but was a bit overpowered by the crispy cheddar cheese. The almond croissant had good flavor, but also overpowered by a little too much almond paste on top, making it a little too sweet and not flaky/crispy enough for our liking. But they have so many more items to try including their breads so we will be back!
We loved getting Chaćonne pastries at the Uptown Farmers Market so we were very excited to try their new space! The Cream Cheese Danish is one of our favorites as are the Chocolate Chip Cookies and Chocolate Pound Cake. Service was very quick and friendly and all the pastry options looked delicious. Excited to be able to get some of their goodies more consistently without having to wait for the farmers markets. They are in the pricier side but honestly worth it for the taste and quality. Looking forward to coming back!
