Laurie's Cafe

This is a 5 star restaurant. Quality of food, service, cleanliness and cuteness are all 5 star! I stopped by for lunch on a Friday afternoon. The place was buzzing with customers filling up the dining room. I was immediately waited on by a friendly waitress. I decided on the grilled chicken on one of their soft sourdough rolls. It was so delicious, all I had on the chicken was their melted cheese drizzled with a well balanced not too sweet or vinegary BBQ sauce. The bread was amazing so I brought home 6 rolls. The owners work very hard to ensure that their food and service are well above our expectations. Update on 1/2026: 5 stars again, but this time I had the BLT. Of course, I switched out their yummy Texas toast for their amazing sourdough roll. Superb! Bacon was thick, tender and juicy. One of the best BLTs I've ever eaten. Tried the fried dill pickles. Good stuff! My side was what they called a chilled peach soup which was a delicious sweet dessert.

I ordered a tuna sandwich (I don't remember the name of it, sorry) and a coconut cream pie. The sandwich is very good, well seasoned and balanced. While the pie is not. The pie is soggy and tastes awful. Looks like it's been there for a long time and started to melt and lose its shape. You can see in my picture that it could not hold its shape.

Great place. Kind of like going to grandmas house. Chicken salad had bacon was good, egg salad was ok, loved the tomatoes cucumber salad, the congealed salad was good. I think they overcharged us a little. Friends loved the lemonade. Kids liked the grilled cheese

We stumbled upon this cafe when all the ones on the main walk were crowded. This is now our place to eat in Georgetown. The waitress was nice, attentive and personable. The old fashion hamburger was large and tasty. Wasn't expecting such a good hamburger from a little place. If you want a small cafe atmosphere with great food at reasonable prices, then this is for you.

I always enjoy coming here. The food is delicious, the service is awesome, and the atmosphere is cozy. Today I got the Cobb salad and it was great! Everything I have tried has been good and not just that tastes nice, but I feel satisfied in my belly and soul. 😁 the peach soup is superb
