Noula's Coffee

Noula's Coffee

Crema's Take

Noula's occupies a genuinely pleasant spot in the Hotel La Fonda lobby overlooking Taos Plaza with a fireplace and actual elbow room—but the coffee itself is inconsistent and often tastes stale, with drinks regularly missing flavor or balance at premium prices ($8.50 for a latte). You'll find friendly staff and decent pastries here, which is why some regulars defend it, but enough reviews mention bland espresso and off-tasting milk that you shouldn't expect specialty-level drinks. If you're staying at the hotel or need a comfortable place to sit, it works; if you're visiting Taos specifically for good coffee, keep looking.

What to expect

Classic coffee drinks done right. A slow-sit, laptop-friendly, outdoor seating spot, good for meetings. Full breakfast, pastries, and light food on the menu. Family friendly.

Coziest seating and most spacious of the four coffee options on the plaza. You can sit in front of the fireplace in the La Fonda lobby, which is connected. The slight chili pepper heat in the Mexican Mocha was perfect for a snowy day.

Good service, Starbucks coffee, muffins, breakfast sandwiches, scones and cookies. Outdoor sidewalk seating on Taos Plaza. Indoor seating. Conveniently colocated in Hotel Le Fonda De Taos.

Good chai tea latte ($5.25 for a large), friendly barista, two-seater tables, chill upbeat music... located in historic downtown square in Taos, NM.
