Ola Café

Crema's Take
“This tiny but mighty Medford gem pulls serious espresso shots that taste like actual coffee, not the watered-down disappointment you'd get elsewhere—reviewers rave about legit lattes that keep them coming back two days in a row. Beyond the exceptional coffee, Ola thoughtfully accommodates allergies and pairs each cup with a stellar selection of baked goods and full breakfast options, all served in a cozy, dog-friendly space that punches above its weight despite the compact footprint.”

Amazing food and coffee. Very accommodating to allergies. Best coffee I’ve had in a very long time. Make this a stop on your trip or morning commute.
Legit latte, not the hot bean water you'd get at Starbucks. So good we went two days in a row while staying in Somerville. The venue is very small, but the coffee packs a punch. They do offer pastries as well!
Ok experience with flavorless sandwiches. Great selection of baked goods. Cute but tiny cafe. Love that its dog friendly. Only complaint was with the food I ordered. Got 2 tiny slices of bacon in the bacon egg and cheese on a croissant, the turkey, egg and cheese was OK. Even after shaking and stirring my iced caramel latte I took a sip and it was all caramel. I wish they mixed it with the espresso shot so it would melt. I asked for a cup to mix it back and forth but the caramel would not mix into the latte. It kept sinking to the bottom. I had to drink for the middle of the cup so I wouldnt drink chunks of caramel.
Little cafe with a big menu. Lots of breakfast and lunch options I’ve been meaning to try this place, but its hours are limited to mornings and early afternoons, so it’s never open when I’m around. Thankfully I snagged a quick lunch while on my way out to do errands. I got a breakfast sandwich. It was good. I was appreciative when they let me get two veggies since I’m vegetarian and didn’t get a meat. The guava pastry was fine. I wish there was more guava! I’d definitely come back for different food options. I really love that they have a variety of different pastries.
Despite its small size, this cozy cafe offers a charming and cozy atmosphere. The iced latte I had was perfectly balanced in sweetness and strength orange juice my boyfriend ordered was equally refreshing. They offer a selection of pastries, including enticing Portuguese egg tarts that we plan to try next time. Service was friendly and efficient, even during a takeaway service. The cafe is dog-friendly, adding to its neighborhood charm. Limited seating might be an issue for some, but the intimate vibe and quality drinks make it worth a visit.
