Crema's Take

Ceremony is a light-filled Providence gem that's earned its social media buzz by doing specialty drinks with real intention—their matcha and hojicha lattes are crafted with the care they deserve, and they're clearly tuned into seasonal trends and creative flavor directions. The vibe hits that sweet spot between a serious coffee destination and a genuinely welcoming hangout spot, complete with a curated gift section and enough space to actually settle in with your laptop or a friend, plus they even offer wine and cocktails if you want to extend your visit.

This place was all over my TikTok feed so had to give it a try. The place is spacious with windows all over, bringing in light on a sunny day. I had their latte with regular milk and it was so good. The coffee was of good quality with a strong taste. My friend had the strawberry matcha and also loved it.

This is clearly a popular college hang out spot! There’s a little section of cards and gifts and a refrigerator section with some treats to take home. I wanted the ube latte but I’m not sure if they don’t have it anymore or were temporarily out. I got the hojicha latte instead and it was tasty. I also grabbed a matcha roll cake slice. I also enjoyed the sweet treat. They have a bunch of interesting drinks so I will be back. Parking was tricky. Service was pleasant and answered my questions about how to get my drink (hot or iced, less sweet etc).

I would definitely recommend Ceremony to people looking to get an intentionally-made matcha in Providence. They have an extensive menu and seem to follow trends and seasons well. The set up is good for studying or conversation but I found the music to be a but loud. The matcha came out to $7.29 which is a bit steep but again, worth the experience.

I got an hojicha latte and it was pretty good. I didn’t realize you had to order sweetener as an additional add-on as other places I’ve visited usually include maple syrup. One of the bartenders was kind enough to add some for me. Beautiful, bright interior!

A place where you can actually work and enjoy good matcha and more! They have wine and cocktails too! Worth a try if you’re having a tough day or just want to experience good food and drinks with a friendly atmosphere. Hard to find parking so walk if you’re nearby. Good onigiri and tayaki!
