Crema's Take
“This espresso-focused lab in Arlington's National Landing brings serious coffee craft with a playful spirit—expect expertly pulled shots, thoughtful pour overs, and baristas who'll surprise you with adorable latte art while you settle in for the afternoon. The atmosphere strikes that sweet spot between casual hangout and coffee destination, with friendly staff and quality pastries (the cheesecake pound cake is a standout) that justify the higher price point. Come on a weekday morning to avoid the weekend rush and really soak in the creative energy that's made this place a beloved neighborhood favorite.”

Lots of speciality coffee options, higher prices, but fun atmosphere and overall positive experience. I went early on a Saturday morning (8a) so I am unsure of how busy it gets later in the day. Great place to meet a friend and catch up.
Great atmosphere & friendly service. Coffee was excellent & the cheesecake pound cake was delicious.
Origin Coffee Lab & Kitchen, located in Westpost at National Landing in Arlington, VA, offers espresso drinks such as lattes, cortados, and cold brew, along with breakfast items, sandwiches, toast, and desserts, including cream puffs, carrot cake, coffee milk cake, and banana walnut bread. The ambiance features a clean, industrial interior with high ceilings and fast service. It’s an ideal spot for enjoying coffee with dessert after shopping at Westpost or for having a warm drink after skating nearby. The coffee was strong with a subtle acidity, but the banana bread was somewhat dry and average, and could be improved. The selection of baked goods and desserts was somewhat limited and could benefit from more options.
Origin has been my favorite café over the past two years. The coffee and food are fantastic! The staff are always so friendly, and they often surprised me with cute latte art of little cats on my drinks. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it a great spot to meet up with friends. Highly recommended!
I compiled all the pictures that I’ve taken on the times that I have visited this coffee shop. It is absolutely divine. It’s better to go in the weekdays because on the weekend, specifically Saturday, it gets too busy. They don’t usually give you the hard cups on the weekend, even if you dine in. There is a young girl who makes my latte when she’s at work, and she is the best! The carrot cake is my favorite, super rich. Great place to visit.
