Brave Bean
20 E General Robinson St, Pittsburgh, PA
Crema's Take
“Brave Bean is a service-disabled veteran-owned coffeehouse that pulls some of Pittsburgh's finest espresso, with knowledgeable baristas who genuinely care about craft and community. The North Shore location perfectly positions you for pre-game caffeine runs or post-museum visits, while their thoughtful touches—like the wall where you can buy coffee for veterans—make every visit feel like supporting something meaningful. Whether you're settling in for a pour over or grabbing a quick traditional drink alongside one of their killer salads, the cozy vibes and roasting excellence keep locals coming back.”

Brave Bean, both their North Shore and Pitcairn locations, are wonderful. Great customer service, great and knowledgeable baristas, cozy vibes, and delicious drinks. Russell and Emily at the North Shore location are especially wonderful. Always enjoying stopping in here and getting some drinks. ❤️
Love this place! I always stop before a game or on the north shore! You can buy a Veteran a cup to add on the wall as well. Grateful for you!
If you are in the mood for an inviting, veteran-owned coffee shop, this is it!! As we came out of the parking garage we had seen this and so glad we stopped in! The coffee is amazing and along with the GNG items! There are nice comfy chairs and a nice countertop sitting area by the window for you to enjoy a little of the city. This is a second location and we were impressed how nice the owner is and how his family showed up to support him! Even though this was our first time, we were treated like family! Next time we are at a Pirates game, we definitely will be stopping by!
Delicious coffee shop newly opened location on the North Shore. They take pride in roasting excellence and honoring service. They’re a service-disabled veteran- owned business! They really focus on creating a community cafe experience, quality coffee and ethically sourced beans. They do roast their own beans which is pretty neat! Their coffee is delicious. Tried the Welsh Tea and Cherries & Cream Cold Brew. Both were from their February menu and were really good!!! Cherries, cream & coffee really go well together! Super sweet and friendly staff. You can order ahead and pick up, stop in and grab to go or stop in and enjoy their in there super comfy chairs and cute space! Great for working or meeting friends!
This spot has the best espresso in the city! The location is perfect—just a short walk from the Andy Warhol Museum and ideal for catching a Pirates or Steelers game. Their salads are fantastic and convenient, and the decaf coffee is my favorite (twilight tonic) Highly recommend!
