Crema's Take
“Tucked inside Providence Place Mall, The Coffee Cup is a hidden gem that excels at creative specialty drinks, particularly their exceptional matcha and chai lattes that keep people coming back for more. The welcoming staff creates a relaxed atmosphere perfect for lingering over a cup or catching up with friends, though the no-price menu does add an element of surprise to ordering. With a strong 4.7-star rating, this spot punches above its weight as a mall café destination, offering signature creative beverages that go well beyond standard coffee shop fare.”

This was the only coffee shop that was open around the area so I went in. The server didn’t seem too friendly at all. Ordering was weird since there are no prices associated with the menu items which was odd and seems like they’re trying to scam people. I ordered a cold brew with almond milk. I kid you not, the price was $9.18. This is the most expensive coffee I ever drank. I’m from New York and even the most expensive coffee shop wouldn’t charge that price. No prices on the menu, come on! Is that even legal business practice? The music was weird too because it wasn’t soft instead it was loud with strong bass that made your head throb and gave me a headache. Weird vibes in the shop. Also my $9 coffee was mostly ice to end this review. Put prices on your menu and change the music.
Visited the Providence Place (after watching Secret Apartment) and there were two great things about the mall. 1. Knowing people made a secret apartment for FOUR YEARS in there. 2. The Coffee Cup. The regular hot coffee was so delicious. And the dirty chai I had was hands down the best one I ever had. We went there several times in the two days we were there. (We actually stopped one last time before leaving.) 10/10 The atmosphere was great. People were working hard yet still friendly.
Attention matcha and chai lovers. I just came here for the second time. BOTH times I had the absolute best drink!! I have tried chai and matcha lattes everywhere I go and hands down had the best chai last visit and best matcha this visit. I had nondairy milk for both drinks. This time I got an iced blueberry matcha and she was able to do cold foam with Oatmilk. Highly recommend you check this place out if you’re at the mall! Cannot wait to come back!
Pretty good coffee. I wish they had vegan options or more dairy free options. But I liked that they had a fruit cup available. And I asked them what flavors I could have for a latte. The French toast is not dairy free. But they said they could make something similar. It was pretty good. The area is pretty cute with decent amount of seating.
The Coffee Cup at Providence Mall is a hidden gem! It's the perfect spot to take a break during a shopping trip. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and they make some of the best coffee in the area. I love their wide variety of drinks—whether you’re in the mood for a classic latte, a cold brew, or something more unique, they’ve got you covered. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it a great place to relax for a bit.
