Crema's Take

Uplift Baldwin is a thoughtfully designed neighborhood gem that feels like a creative gathering space, complete with local art on the walls, a kids' bookshelf, and a warm atmosphere perfect for both lingering conversations and focused work sessions. They're serious about coffee quality, sourcing from Messenger Coffee and crafting both classic espresso drinks and inventive signature creations, while their pastries—like their notably well-balanced cinnamon rolls—prove they care about every detail. Named after the childhood home address of its owners, this spot radiates genuine hospitality and carries real heart in how the team has built something special for Baldwin City.

Incredibly cute coffee shop that made an out of town guest meeting place. We had drip coffee and an Americano both were absolutely superb! Cinnamon roll was well made not too sweet or messy despite being finger-licking good. Thank you for the nice visit!

First time visiting the Baldwin location, love the vibe here!! Service was friendly and fast, coffee and quiche tasted great! Local art on the walls, bookshelf for the kiddos, lots of thoughtful touches. Will definitely be back to try some of the other pastries and enjoy the outdoor area!

I was in Baldwin visiting my parents and needed a quiet, trendy place to get some work done. Lovely place that serves Messenger Coffee (so good). Great selection of syrups and they had my oatmilk for a latte. Friendly staff and super cute vibes. A refreshing find for a small town. 10/10

133 is an awesome local coffee shop in Baldwin City! The owners and employees are extremely friendly, there's a good mix of classic and innovative drink creations, and the design of the actual shop is immaculate. Often, with coffee shops there's a trade-off between good food/drink and a good aesthetic; however, this coffee shop capitalizes on both of these things. They also have offered a variety of events to the community, including a "The Office" Trivia Night, which got a lot of excitement. Next time you're in the Lawrence/Baldwin City area, go spend some time at 133 Coffee and support good, local coffee! COVID-19 Update: 133 Coffee is open and accommodating of COVID-19 requirements in regard to social distancing. They do a great job of spacing sitting areas in a friendly and gracious manner for customers.

Surprisingly great latte, in a warm environment. Talked a bit to one of the co-owners: apparently, the shop was named after the house number of their childhood home... and they've worked hard to preserve the "home" feel. Thought regular drip coffee was way too expensive, though ($3.00 for a 12oz)... so I paid a little extra for a great espresso drink.
