Hill's Kitchen - Sugar House
2188 S Highland Dr, South Salt Lake, UT
Crema's Take
“Hill's Kitchen shines as a gathering spot with a genuinely lovely outdoor patio setup complete with firepits and mood lighting, making it perfect for everything from casual brunches to special events like baby showers. While the kitchen can be inconsistent with execution, their breakfast offerings—smoothies, baked goods, and hearty egg plates—show real promise when they hit the mark, and the space itself consistently impresses visitors looking for a warm, family-friendly atmosphere in Sugar House.”

Nothing from other world, it’s expensive for the food quality. Everything I ordered looks and tasted old. We got the teriyaki bowl and the burger, they were okay. Vegetables in the burger seems old and mooshie. The cinnamon roll was like a rock. They chocolate cheesecake was really good The service was really good, the girls were great. The only thing I didn’t like it it’s that he guy that brings our food didn’t care about presenting the food like they presented at the kitchen and everything fall down when he left the plate.
Really really good breakfast spot. They really have a ton of options from smoothies, to baked goods, to breakfast plates with eggs, bacon, etc. We were so excited to eat that I forgot to take a picture of our food but we got a chocolate croissant (warmed=best), a cinnamon roll, 2 smoothies, and I got a kombucha. The cinnamon roll and croissant were insane they were so good. The smoothies tasted fresh and were very good. The Sugar House area of SLC is super cute with some good restaurants and workout studios. I would love to come here to try their lunch items as well. They have a good amount of seating for their order and seat yourself restaurant. I would definitely recommend this place.
Probably won’t be back, which is unfortunate because the atmosphere was really cool but the chicken tenders were all burnt (and small portions but that’s everywhere now) and the steak bowl lacked a flavorful steak. The rest of the bowl was good but the steak was underwhelming. Overall let down but maybe we need to try another meal-time.
We hosted a baby shower on the gorgeous outdoor patio and had a great experience. The space was beautiful—firepits, mood lighting, and a cozy fireplace. The food and mimosas were delicious, and they even surprised us with the cutest theme-matching cupcakes. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made the event so fun and well-organized. I would highly recommend Hill’s Kitchen for any special event!
I had brunch at Hill’s Kitchen today and was genuinely impressed. The food was absolutely delicious — the flavors had depth and balance, and every dish felt thoughtfully crafted. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the space itself is really charming. But what stood out the most was the service. Every staff member was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. This is honestly one of the best brunch experiences I’ve had in Salt Lake City. Highly recommended, and I’ll definitely be coming back!
