Crema's Take
“Tucked away in a Steamboat Springs shopping center, Big Iron is a small but mighty espresso-focused café where freshly roasted beans meet genuine hospitality and carefully crafted pastries. The baristas clearly care about their work, pulling precise lattes with artistic flair, and the intimate seating invites you to slow down and savor—whether you're grabbing a flight-day coffee or settling in with a warm pour over and a freshly made bagel.”

Fantastic little coffee shop! The beans are roasted fresh and the staff is super friendly. An added bonus is we ordered some beans online and it was a great experience. The orders are roasted fresh so it takes a couple more days but so very worth it. We bought some around Christmas time and the shipping was just slightly delayed. They threw in a hand written note and an extra bag of coffee. They certainly didn’t have to do that. It was very much appreciated though. Truly a wonderful customer service experience and I can’t say enough good things about these folks. They definitely have a repeat customer now!!!
This place is very cute, tucked away off Steamboats Main Street in a shopping center. We stopped here for coffee before our flight. The shop is very small with limited seating and it was packed while we were there. We found seats easily. The service was nice, the girl who took our order was super kind and helpful. The food offerings are some baked goods, a limited number of breakfast burritos, and bagels. All kinds of coffee and tea as well (obviously). The coffee was pretty good, the bagel could benefit from seasoning but served its purpose. Love the skeleton branding, it was very quaint and cute.
I love a cute themed coffee shop, but I especially love it when the food, and drinks are so high quality and delicious!!! This place rocks. The egg and cheese bagel I got was freshly made and so yummy. The coffee was good, they offer plenty of flavor options. Even though it was a busy morning, the staff was kind and efficient.
Stopped in for an afternoon pick-me-up at Big Iron Coffee. Baristas were friendly and welcoming. I ordered my usual latte which was delicious, hot and decorated with a foamy heart on top! So great to see the support of local art for sale displayed on the walls. Plenty of seating inside on a cold day like today with some seating out in the courtyard as well for warmer days I’m sure. The small seating areas were cozy although chairs are well worn. As we weren’t hungry, we didn’t order any of the lovely pastries. Although the family sitting next to us had ordered some delicious looking breakfast bagels! I would return for another cup of coffee and a pastry next time I’m in Steamboat!
Sweet coffee shop right down town! Great menu, fair price, unique setting. Only negative if you had to name one is the location. If you're strolling through town it's awesome but if driving through parking can be an issue. However, the Starbuck's drive-thru line is way worse and there you gotta sell your soul anyway. Big Iron is way worth the stop!
