Crema's Take

This Fort Lauderdale bakery is a genuine Italian-style forno where the coffee and pastries feel like they've traveled straight from Europe, with Julius Meinl Austrian beans pulling silky lattes alongside fresh-squeezed orange juice made right before your eyes. The display cases overflow with beautiful pastries and crusty breads that draw crowds especially at lunch, though the pastry quality is genuinely wonderful despite being made at volume. It's the kind of warm, family-friendly spot where you'll find yourself coming back for "just one more" coffee and discovering something new among the sandwiches and quiches tucked between the showstopping baked goods.

The Gran Forno was the perfect spot to grab something sweet and the best coffee I have had in years. My wife and I were overwhelmed with the deliciousness that was on display at this bakery. The pistachio in their pastries was so on spot that, it could have competed with a 5 star restaurants. The coffee had such a true taste of coffee that placing sugar in that cup would have been a travesty. Smoother than any cup of coffee I've ever had here in Florida. The service for a place so busy was excellent. Nicholas took care of us well and even made us laugh. Great people work at this place and it is worth the stop. Especially if you were like us and had a long ride ahead. When in fort lauderdale, don't miss it this stop. Definitely, don't miss it. Even took extras for our drive back to the west coast that were almost halfway done before we got home. Looking forward.\nTo returning to Gran Forno and trying the rest of their pastries😋 It was so good that my wife had to use the croissant to make a call and tell everyone else how great this place was.🤣🤣🤣

What a wonderful bakery. There are many beautiful pastries to choose from and also all types of sandwiches. My latte was very good. They squeeze oranges to make fresh juice right in front of you, so I got a juice as well. There is both outside and indoor seating.

First visit here. I got the mushroom quiche, which was a nice size, however needed salt. Two brownies which was okay. The young lady closed the box where the side flaps closed on top of the Brownie and ruined the icing. One was a gift. The young lady was not very friendly. She would whisper to her coworker, look at us and start laughing. She had a hard time hearing us and just wasn't helpful with explaining things. Her coworker was more pleasant. I also got a strawberry/kiwi tart. It was also a gift, so will post again after I hear about it.

The bakery serves Julius Meinl coffee which is Austria's best coffee. The pastries, however taste very commercial and tge server does not properly know the ingredients of tge product. He assured me that the tangerine pastry has custard and not almond paste. It actually had a very strong taste of artificial almond extract. The bakery has some inside as well as patio seating. All 3 pastries were very average and disappointing
