Refuge is THE spot in Houston. Date nights ? Refuge. Break up? Refuge. Birthday? Refuge . Bachelorette or bachelor party? Refuge. Friendly gatherings ? Refuge? The staff is beyond upstanding and incredibly, the atmosphere is perfect, and the drinks are so divine. Don't drink? The mocktails are to die for ( so is the grilled cheese if you're feeling peckish) . No matter the occasion or company you can't go wrong . Parking can be a little tricky but it's so worth it to come on in.

I don’t know what happened to the Anvil and other type of bars of old where there was a proper menu of cocktails that spanned multiple pages. Here you have 5 original cocktails that are all riffs of classics. And then you had 5 classic cocktails. Very limited drink menu from a bar with such a high pedigree. I get that you have to churn out consistent drinks quickly nowadays but that just makes you a generic bar serving old fashions and manhattan riffs like everyone else

AMAZING. my fiancé made a reservation to celebrate our engagement with some friends. I really like the vibe, amazing ambiance and music and decoration. Drink options are great and staff are incredible!!! One thing, the marble coaster got stuck to the glass and drop often. Another words, when you pick up the glasses, the coaster comes with it for a bit and drops with a bit of noise. Other than that— PERFECT 10/10 !!!

Classy, intimate vibes at this cocktail lounge! Upon entering, you were seated with a glass of water and warm towel to clean your hands. I inquired about the happy hour, which they no longer have, but my server was kind enough to still honor the deal since they silently discontinued the deal without announcing it on social media. We got the Rolls-Royce martini and best seller classic cocktail evergreen (original price $16 each, but we got them for $8 each)! Both tasted clean and strong. Definitely recommend this place for a date night or girls night!

Such an unique charm in the heart of mid town. Even though their cocktail menu is limited, I can tell that they invested a lot efforts in creating those. My most favorite is the Ruby Cobbler. I love the aroma & taste of ruby cherry. I was extremely impressed by how they welcome you with a hot towel to wipe your hands. They also kindly offered some candies when bringing out the check. So dedicated and lovely!
