Crepes Choupette
24B Whitney Ave, New Haven, CT
Crema's Take
“This charming French crêperie transports you straight to Paris with its carefully curated ambiance, authentic French music, and made-to-order crêpes that span from savory mushroom and smoked salmon to sweet indulgences. The staff brings genuine warmth to every interaction, making it feel less like a café transaction and more like a visit to a friend's kitchen, whether you're lingering over breakfast with family or celebrating a special occasion. It's the kind of place that feels like a deliberate escape from the everyday—a pocket of Continental charm in New Haven where the food and hospitality are equally memorable.”

Loved this French spot! The food was excellent, the mushroom crêpe was so flavorful and the smoked-salmon omelet was delicious. I also loved the ambiance and the music!
What a lovely French style cafe service both sweet and savory crêpes! They even had cute French music playing (“Je ne peux pas travailler…”) Between the 4 in my family, we had 2 sweet and 2 savory crêpes and they were all delicious! Coffee is great too! I would definitely come back.
Choupette catered my bridal shower yesterday, and it was truly a magical experience. Two beautiful women were making crepes to order on a hot day, they were professional and so sweet, not to mention they make deLICIOUS crepes. I highly recommend, and want to extend my gratitude! Thank you so much!
I highly recommend this place, the crepes are so delicious!😋😍😘 The staffs are also super nice. I’m definitely coming back next time. 😊
This is such a lovely departure from the diners and the donut shops and the begal joints. The French music makes you feel like you're somewhere else entirely. I knew I was going to have one savory and one sweet crepe. I didn't think the savory crepe was going to fill me up the way it did. I was fighting to finish both. Both were excellent. The savory crepe used a whole wheat batter maybe? I've never had anything like it. I don't know what else to say other than I wish I had one right now. I don't live in New Haven and if I did, I'd be here once a week. Street parking is a bit of a pain. The bathroom is also its own journey down a long, winding hallway. Neither of these two things would deter visiting again.
