The Farm Belly

The coffee is delicious, which is why I am giving them 2 stars. I ordered the breakfast sandwich that came on the smallest bun I have ever seen in my life. The amount of bacon they put on the sandwich would have been comical had I not needed to get an additional breakfast to actually be full. For a $3 add on, I’d expect more than a few crumbles of bacon. I also added an additional egg because I thought it was odd that it only came with one. Now after seeing the size of the bun I realize why. I know prices are sky high right now, but charging $13 for this sandwich is a crime. Save your $$ and literally go anywhere else in New Haven, there are plenty of other places that have great coffee AND great food.

This place was the perfect mix of great comfort food, high quality ingredients, friendly personal service, and touches that make it feel warm and personable. The owner really cares about her business and makes it feel like a home atmosphere. Highly recommend!

The Farm Belly is a standout breakfast spot delivering quality and flavor in every bite. The menu strikes the perfect balance between classic dishes and unique favorites…all tasting fresh and made to order. My eggs were cooked perfectly, the bacon was crisp, and the brioche roll was warm and absolutely delicious. What truly sets this place apart is the attention to detail! Portions are generous and the presentation makes even the simplest dishes feel special. Add in friendly service and it is definitely the kind of place you’ll want to return to again and again. The farm-to-table approach makes it even more special with everything fresh, locally sourced, and thoughtfully prepared. AND, did I mention the coffee? It is excellent as well! Iced or hot, you can’t go wrong! Farm Belly truly delivers on freshness, quality, and care. It will not disappoint!

The Farmers Belly is an absolutely 10/10 establishment in all aspects. No notes. I had a working breakfast with my brother and everything on the menu was impeccable. You could taste the freshness and quality - a genuine farm to table experience. Service was amazing as well, extremely positive aura. Best blueberry pancake we’ve ever tasted. Hands down, the BEST blueberry pancakes I've ever had in my life, literally a religious experience in my mouth (nobody ever gets the ratio of blueberry to pancake right, but they have cracked it). Went back again the next day for the brisket hash and this was excellent too. This restaurant is a gift in every way, the muffins and coffee are outstanding, the staff are all smiles and the atmosphere is welcoming and warm with views of the river. I also met so many wonderful regulars there (artists, community activists, families). If you are in New Haven, you owe it to yourself to check this place out.
