Down the Road Café
Campus Center, Hudson, NY
Crema's Take
“Down the Road Café trades efficiency for charm—everything's made to order, which means a wait, but the payoff is a genuinely warm staff and the kind of place where you actually want to linger over breakfast. The newly renovated space feels inviting for lingering conversations, though fair warning: seating is tight, the kitchen sometimes forgets toppings, and quesadillas seem to be perpetually sold out. If you're patient and prioritize personality over speed, it's worth the trip from Hudson.”
What to expect
Classic coffee drinks done right. A slow-sit spot, good for meetings. Full breakfast and light food on the menu.

Excellent service and a warm atmosphere. Highly recommend
Almost always out of quesadillas, forgets to add toppings to meals. They forgot my avocado today. Good chicken though
Listen its not easy to be in that job im assuming, with all of those orders. However i would not recommend it unless u enjoy this type of food. Vegan options are available. Long wait times are common. My friends often go to the dtr, it seems to be fairly popular on the campus.…
Newly renovated dining spot at Bard College. Friendly and helpful staff with great personalities. The only downside is that since most items are made to order, you will wait a bit.
Foods okay, but with the new update it feels a little robotic. The biggest problem is that there is nowhere to sit if there's more than 7 people. People end up sitting on the ground to wait for their food. It's kinda sad. It really doesn't make much sense for a Campus Center
