Crema's Take

Ginna's Cafe is a beloved Missoula institution that goes well beyond your typical coffee shop, offering a full salad bar, creative hot bar with nacho and taco stations, and generous breakfast options like their legendary "Heap" that locals consider two meals in one. The espresso drinks are solid, but what really sets this place apart is the welcoming staff and the quality of the prepared food, from perfectly seasoned chicken larb salads to breakfast burritos that keep people coming back for years. Whether you're grabbing coffee to go, meeting friends, or settling in for a proper breakfast, the energy here feels genuinely warm and unpretentious.

My friends and I were in Missoula for the Big Sky Film Festival. Before leaving town, we decided to stop here for food for the road. Upon walking in, you see a full salad bar with options for every diet including vegan and gluten free. There are fridges on the right and left filled with sweet and savory options like soups, sandwiches, dessert or sweet options, and these also have vegan and GF options. My group got huge salads, warm burritos, candy, mousse, peanut butter and jam sandwich, and lattes made with locally made organic oat milk. The staff was incredibly warm and kind, asking us where we are coming from and didn’t mind that there were so many of us there getting our food options. They gave us a re-useable cold/hot tote to carry all of our food out. The cashier was also super stylish! I hope this business stays put for many years and has lots of prosperity, and if you’re in Downtown Missoula needing a quick healthy delicious bite on the go, this is the place to stop. Thanks for serving us!

Amazing stop for to-go food downtown. Some of the old Catalyst classics and several different hot/salad bar type stuff. V fun nacho/taco bar as well. Evan was an absolute delight and really gave us a good tour of the place. Highly recommend.

The staff here are incredibly welcoming and the food is always so good. I come here for lunch quite often but only recently tried the chicken larb salad…AMAZING! So much flavor! I love this little spot!

Stopped in here on a whim looking for a breakfast bite. The staff was so kind and welcoming, they explained their offerings and that it’s take-out only. I’m from out of town, but really wish I had something like this at home. They have freshly-made meals, snacks and yummy things. The breakfast biscuit sandwhich I ordered was no exaggeration, out of this world delicious. And also huge. You can definitely split it between two people.

A Missoula staple for many years, and tied with Burns St Bistro for best brunch in Missoula. The Heap is a long-time favorite, and consider it is TWO meals for the mortal. Breakfast burrito is also great but a little spicy. Coffee/Espresso is fantastic. Funky place with varied seating including now downstairs expansion. Indoor and Outdoor seating. Expect a wait on weekends and summer days.
