Crema's Take

This charming spot doubles as both a bookshop and coffee haven, where you can settle in with a perfectly crafted oat milk latte while browsing shelves of new and used books and author-inspired candles. The real magic happens when you meet the shop's furry residents—a cat named Teddy and two dogs, Scout and Little Bit—who roam freely and add instant warmth to an already cozy, picturesque atmosphere. Whether you're working on your laptop, meeting a friend, or just seeking a slow afternoon with good coffee and good company, this is the kind of place where you'll want to linger.

A very cozy book and coffee shop with adorable puppers. The owner was very nice and had a good sense of humor.

Pets! A cat named Teddy and two dogs named Scout and Little Bit live here! They have author inspired candles, new and used books, drinks like coffee, espresso, oattes (latte with oat milk), tea, beer, and a soda fountain for house made sodas. There are several flavors. For espresso drinks, the cafe borgia made with dark chocolate and orange is decadent. There's also a piney woods and chocolate covered strawberry that slap. For the sodas, the Murph Shine (lemon, strawberry plus a hint of rose) and the Post Modern (chai, tamarind, orange and cherry) are delicious. There are several events each week throughout the month so checking the calendar on Facebook, Instagram or the website is helpful. Open Mic night is my favorite. They host board game days, artist meetings, jam sessions, open table DnD, craft days, fiber craft nights, a book club and art shows. The sun room perfect for study or work and it even has a cushy bench. "The Tavern" (DnD room) is available for rent too. It's like $6 an hour and has some sound proofing if you need a place to record or make calls. It isn't just a game room, but it looks totally cool. The porch has rocking chairs and a table to hang out at while the yard has a cool picnic table made from a giant cable spool! There's book art all over the place. Pages are bordered around the main room and there is a book chandelier hanging from the ceiling. The shelves are recycled and repurposed pallets. There are so many different genres of books and if they don't have what you're looking for, they'll order it for you. This is one of my favorite places.
