This one's alot smaller but same great food and coffee. They always have amazing staff!
Decent food, on the expensive side. Small but nice sidewalk seating, and a few indoor tables. One time I ordered pick-up, and I still had to wait at the restaurant for 11 minutes for the food to be ready after the pickup time they gave me, and there weren't even any other customers. I suspect they hadn't even started preparing it until I showed up.
I have never gone to a so called Puerto Rican restaurant ordered pork chops and that’s literally all I got, no rice no beans just 22 dollars for 2 tiny pork chops. I’m disappointed to say the least…. When I asked if they had rice they said not right now …. So why still charge full price…$80 for 2 small pork chops plantains and 4 empanadas.
Arguably the best, and easily most unexpected, meal we had in Rhinebeck! Really interesting, tasty food - plus some inventive options for gluten free people. Both of our meals were hulking portions, and great value. Really nice aspect too, overlooking the Inn
Transparently speaking I didn’t have high hopes for a Puerto Rican restaurant in Rhinebeck but whenever possible I’m intentional about supporting the Latin American community especially small businesses. I grew up with access and currently reside in a neighborhood with authentic Puerto Rican cuisine. The food at Cafe Con Leche was absolutely stunning, perfectly seasoned! I had the mofongo with pernil and a passion fruit juice. The serving size was very generous, the prices were fair, the service was pleasant, and while the space was small, they’ve made great use of it. The restaurant was nicely decorated, very clean, and you have the option to order online instead of at the counter which is what I opted for. 10/10, highly recommended!
