Crema's Take

Billy Hicks is a vibrant neighborhood spot in DC where coffee ambitions extend well beyond the cup—their espresso martini is genuinely magical, and the bar team brings serious creativity to both coffee and cocktails. It's the kind of place where you can linger over a slow pour, enjoy inventive light bites and full breakfast options, and feel genuinely welcomed by staff who seem genuinely invested in making your visit special, whether you're there for a quick meeting or celebrating something meaningful.

Such a fun place. We sat at the bar, had their version of the espresso martini, which was MAGICAL, and their Rye Old Fashioned was FABULOUS. The servers and bar team were working EXTRA hard, wow! They were attentive and kind. The only negative we found was that it took WAY too long for our order of chips and 3 salsas to come in. Besides that pretty good

The food was great and the vibes were modern! We got the Billy burger, artichoke dip, and fried mozzarella. Would recommend for a quick bite! It seems like they are a bit understaff; however, the staff was trying their best!

Cute spot for lunch with a great menu—so many good options it was hard to choose. The salads especially looked popular and delicious! But we were hangry. Sliders- came a little well done. Blackened Chicken sandwich- my husband was happy with his choice BLT- I should have said easy on the mayo or mayo on the side. But it was ok. It comes with fries, they were nice and crispy. They have nice menu options so we would definitely return. Service is friendly but seemed a bit overwhelmed too.

The environment was really nice, and the hosts were friendly and amazing — they made us feel welcome right away. The food I ordered was overall good; however, the chicken ( Pan Roasted Chicken ) didn’t taste very fresh, and there was a bit of blood on the bone, which made me feel it wasn’t fully cooked. For the price, I expected better quality, so it did feel a bit overpriced for what I got. Other than that, everything else was fine, and I did enjoy the atmosphere and service.

We decided to spend our anniversary here and we were not disappointed. Our server Jay made our night so special. They bonded with our son, gave great recommendations and made sure we had the best experience. Our first time and won’t be our last. Get the London broil, crispy brussel sprouts and the chocolate cake!!!
